Feels very strange seeing YSU at top of HL standings. Will be interesting to see how long they can hold on to Calhoun.

Just watched the end of the Oakland at Milwaukee game. Milwaukee won in OT 80-77, after being down 14 in the second half. At the end of the game at about the 3:30 mark, the announcer said Jalen Moore is the best point guard in the HL and maybe in the country. Does this guy have blinders on or what?!?!? (BTW, Oakland scored 2 points the last 9:55 of the game.)

Just giving some clarification to "going forward" schedule, including today's games.
The best thing that can happen for WSU is if Milwaukee were to win the league as opposed to YSU. That's because we have a sweep over Milwaukee that would give us a tiebreaker over any team that we split with this season. No other team we're likely to get into a tiebreaker scenario with will have that notch in their belt. For example, we'd lose a potential tiebreaker to NKU if YSU won the league over Milwaukee.
Teams that we're chasing are playing today:
NKU is hosting IUPUI on senior day. Obviously it's a big hill to climb for the Jags, but it'd be great if they could spoil senior day in Highland Heights.
Cleveland State is hosting Youngstown State today as well. While we'd prefer YSU take a loss somewhere down the stretch, my hope is that comes to Milwaukee and not today in Cleveland. If CSU loses today, the winner of our game on Friday would overtake the other in the standings (via tiebreaker).
The other game today is RMU at PFW. PFW has a tough road ahead (home against WSU/NKU, and at GB/MKE), so they've got losses coming their way and I'd be really shocked if they're in the mix at the end, but an RMU win is fine for us today.
The best thing that can happen for us today is an NKU loss. However, the season may very well come down to our games at CSU and Oakland. A loss to either of those teams gives that team a tiebreaker over the Raiders, and a victory over them likely gives us the tiebreaker over them because of our wins over Milwaukee. This goes back to us needing YSU to beat CSU today so they don't have a tiebreaker over us assuming we beat them on Friday.

NKU obliterated IUPUI to nobody's surprise.
PFW blew a decent second half lead to RMU, that helps us slighlty.
CSU upset YSU at the Wolstein to really muddy the water atop the league standings. While YSU moving to a tie with Mikwaukee helps us, it really puts our backs against the wall for Friday night since we're a full 2 games behind CSU and a loss would really bury us in competing for 3rd since they'd have swept us which would leave 3 teams fighting for 1 spot essentially. Must win game for us now on Friday if we want a top 4 seed.

Do we think this is legit?

Do we think this is legit? I know the commissioner was in Detroit to watch Davis and present him with some kind of commemorative ball. Add that to this tweet, I've got a hard time thinking a "verified" twitter user with 13k followers would be bsing...

Do we think this is legit? It’s most likely legit. Coach Nagy has been pushing the HL for some time about their scheduling philosophy. The tweet you quoted is from one of the sports writers in Detroit. His HL news is usually correct.

This is some really interesting news if true. I wonder if this is going to cause us some problems since we apparently already have trouble getting buy games.

I don't know how the conference can force any of us to do it.

I don't know how the conference can force any of us to do it. The A-10 has a scheduling guideline that forces their member schools to have a specific OOC NET average. If member school miss that number in any 2 out of 3 seasons then the conference takes their share of NCAA tournament money and TV contract money until they get back into compliance. The HL could very easily do the same or make a member school ineligible for the conference post season tournament. Those are 2 very easy punishments that they can enforce.
