Could have slowed the pace down earlier to prevent them creeping back. Otherwise great performance tonight.

Davidson is picked to finish 8th in the a-10 so not all that good. But I do think it could have been a nice local statement win, and it would have been if the game was 20” long. Sadly it is not so it is just a loss. Trey Calvin played a great game but with 10 seconds or so left in 2nd half he brought the ball down and flung up a three. All we needed was one point. Taking it to the hoop was the right move and I would think getting it to Davis for a short range jumper would have been next. Settling for an unneeded three, especially since we were 1-2 for 10 or so in the second half. This struck me as a freshman move from a seasoned senior. I was listening on the radio so did I miss anything that would change my mind??

A long season a head of us but I don't understand why Andrew hardly played. Same with Blake. Blake looked good when he was in. Sure maybe he didn't match with Davidson's big but neither did Tim. I'm sure Alex is a good kid but man he needs to improve asap if he is going to play some minutes. He had a couple of bad turnovers and a lot of bad shot selections.

If anyone is having a hard time accepting the outcome tonight just remember that Cleveland St lost at home to Notre Dame College Monday night. Not the D1 Notre Dame. Nagy knows what to do from here, you and I don't. We are likely looking at 0-2 but I see another 20+ win season coming and that's always the goal.

It's a bad loss in the sense of losing that kind of lead, but not a bad loss overall. I think they'll be pretty good if they stay healthy. Hoping Finke shoots better this year from the 3, I think that is a big key, or takes less 3s. The big guys will be fun to see develop.

Some observations: - I thought Alex H. or Andrew Welage might be the odd man out when it comes to the rotation this year. That certainly seemed to be the case last night for Welage. I really hope he sees more minutes, but at the same time, Calvin, Davis, and Finke aren't going to see the bench much. - Wilbourn, Carter, Woods, Garcia, Neff, and Johnson did not dress last night. It was previously reported that Wilbourn is injured and he was in a boot. It seems Neff has an injury too. I believe Carter, Woods, and Garcia are redshirting. - This was the best opponent we will have at home and there weren't a lot of good games last night, so this was probably the most-watched home game we will have on ESPN+ and the quality of production is embarrassing. It's a shame the audio was so badly out of synch with the video. I'd think that could have been corrected at some point during the game, but I can overlook that since this was the first game. However, can something not be done regarding the announcers constantly clearing phlegm out of their throat-- a cough button or simply getting the mic away from your mouth? This happened all of last season. I thought it was Jim Brown, but when I rewatched part of the game, I swear I heard it happen while he was talking.

The combo of Calvin and Davis makes you feel like they have a chance to score on any offensive possession, even if the play/set doesn't work out as planned.
Having Calvin guard Loyer all night and with the offense running through him is a major task for any player. Can anyone remind me...last year did Finke or their other guards assist in guarding the opponent's top player (i.e. Antoine Davis) or was it always Calvin?
Collins must think he has an operational "Cough" button to mute himself on his headset. How does the TV production staff not hear that themselves and create a solution?
