We did not in fact end the first half strong. Yikes Not even close. Didn't even get a look in the last minute. Good news is that we're up 5 and we didn't have our two most dynamic players for 7 or 8 minutes.

Let's get this to a 10pt lead at the under 16 and everyone can relax a tad.

U8 60-55. We've been bobbing around the 5-8 point lead but just can't separate. I like the fight and I like that we've led throughout, but the only score that matters is the one at 0:00.

U4 68-64. The bucket trading continues. Game would be a done deal if we'd knock in our FTs. (9-14), but I imagine they'll start the foul game with our inconsistent start to the season.

That's a damn good win against a good mid-major peer. BG took Oakland to the cleaners over the weekend and they look like they'll compete in the MAC. You have to win the peer games on your home hardwood.
Good game of perseverance to never really lead comfortably but continue to fight. Great team victory with everybody chipping in.

Boy, BGSU makes you earn every point scored.

Brandon Noel with a double double. Nice to see him contributing at that level after all the bad luck he's had.

On the post game radio show Nagy compared Noel to Mike Daum. He said Daum was more polished offensively but he said Noel is the better athlete. You could tell he has some very high expectations for Noel as he gets more experience and playing time. He definitely has a high ceiling.

Well, glad we came away with the win, but I thought it was painful to watch. Every time we started to pull away, BG seemed to come right back. I do think they (BG) played with a lot of tenacity on defense, but seemed like we had way too many turnovers -- haven't seen the actual box score yet, but sure seemed like we coughed it up more than the first two games. I saw Trey getting treated for, I assume, a leg cramp at one point, and it just seemed like he was a bit off tonight (although, he was really swarmed each time he touched the ball). Also, not sure if it was intentional or not, but seemed like we took way less threes than we had before -- somehow seemed like nobody really had the confidence to take them for some reason. Obviously a win is a win, but that (IMO) was an ugly one to witness.

I agree. It was frustrating to watch at times during this game. We couldn't pull away, and each time we seemed to have that opportunity we either missed an easy shot or turned it over. But they won so that's all that matters.
This team is a work in progress, trying to integrate 3 new players( Davis, Sisley, Noel) along with Huebregst who didn't play last year, into Nagy's system. I really think this team will be a beast to reckon with once the conference season starts.

Once again, Blake and Andrew were efficient with their limited playing time. They need to be playing more. Would hate to lose either of them after this season because of that
