What an awful half of basketball. Didn't get the ball in the paint whatsoever. Didn't use a clear foul differential to get to the line. Didn't use any timeouts to stop the bleeding. All to a team that is winless in d1 play this year. That was a pretty tough watch. The attitude on some of the guys seems bad too. This has me a little worried about this game. Hard to watch but it's one game. I'm sure their attitude was due to getting their ass kick. Why was finke on spears? Why not put one of our 3 bigs on him? The other RMU bigs suck so it really doesn't matter. Davis also needs more touches and to take over. He had a mismatch but hardly took advantage. |

One of the worst games I’ve seen at the Nutter Center during Nagy’s tenure. Finke was our one bright spot offensivelly too. Off all year, finally hits his stride offensively, and the train falls off the tracks. |

So we lost a home game to the 308 ranked sagarin rated team with no div I wins(til now). Not a good look.

Is Sisley injured? Did Welage really not garner a minute of PT in the 2nd half...when nothing else was working either? Did Coach not notice that his beloved small-ball lineup was getting its ass kicked? Disappointing game, not down on the team (A couple more performances like this could change my mind)
To the point above, WSU's full court press was futile. They don't use it much under Nagy, probably the main reason it was largely ineffective. But moreso, having Calvin, Norris & Davis out there, that is certainly not a "long" defensive lineup. Welage gives you an edge there with his length

Boy didn't see this game coming, almost couldn't believe the score when I heard it. Maybe the Raiders aren't quite as good as I thought, but it's early so we will see what happens.
