Bad stretch of play right there...down 4. Why does it seem that some player always has a career night against us??? Our on ball defense is horrendous. Tim is supposed to be our stopper and he is a slightly above average defender. Trey Calvin is one of the worst defenders I have ever seen, he constantly is playing from behind on defense. This team is going to have to outscore people to win games, and luckily for us we can do that. But man it is getting more and more frustrating to see night after night which perimeter player from our opponent that averages 10-15ppg gets his new career high against us. I know if happened with McKnight last night, Cohill from Youngstown last Sunday and Loyer from Davidson in the opener.

Good to see 2 big guys out there at the same time. Was really hoping Welage would have developed and/or been utilized into a 20-25 minute guy this season. With the current roster construction they really need a 2nd guy that can play the '3'. Finke is the only one that fits that profile. Every other player on the roster is a '1', '2', '4', or '5'. Finke & Welage are the only guys that are traditional Small Forwards

Any word on why Calvin isn’t starting? Hard to follow a team and get no information on basic stuff like that.

I really like Coach Nagy...but he "falls in love" with certain players all-too-often. How can he say - and do - those things about Calvin while playing Finke 30+ MPG? I'm not blaming Finke...I'm sure he's a great guy...but his rope is longer than a marathon while others get yanked after one mistake. How does a guy get to be "reliable" when he gets yanked after a mistake and then plays not-to-screw-up when he does get in the game?

How does a guy get to be "reliable" when he gets yanked after a mistake and then plays not-to-screw-up when he does get in the game? That is a really simple answer. If a player gives his all at practice and in games and does whatever the coaching staff asks of him (like playing 3 positions when it would be in his best interest to only be playing 1) he is going to earn their respect and a longer leash. If a player is not giving a full effort at practice and games (especially on defense) and decides to freelance instead of following the game plan, he is going to lose his starting spot.
