Akron is eating us up inside and is already in the bonus. If Akron gets to the line a bunch, this is over, and on the way to a 20+ point blowout loss. That halftime lead feels like an eternity ago.

This season is just going to shit. I don't think I can watch this team do the same thing over and over again and continue to lose. It would be nice to see Nagy at least try to make an adjustment. The man is either too stubborn to make a change or no creative enough as a coach to make a change.

It seemed like we were able to catch lightening in a bottle with tanner and grant. But tim has been a huge disappointment, Alex is awful, wilbourn for 2 years is just taking a scholarship away, Davis seems be bust, Norris has no offense.
Missing on transfers and recruiting has killed this team. Not sure how they turn it around next year.

Not sure I’ve ever seen a coach on the court (4’ inbounds) actually physically moving his players into positions during the game in live ball situations. Groce was doing it constantly. Classless.

Just another "peer matchup" that we just can't figure out how to play a complete game in. We played solid in the first half, albeit a few more TOs than I'm sure we'd like. Akron completely changes their offensive gameplan in the second half working it inside at will and with fouls to boot, and we have absolutely no answer. Nagy never changed the defense, didn't rotate hardly at all (Sisley had what, 3 minutes) and we don't see Welage until the game is already over.
The stubbornness is really killing me. We didn't take a timeout anytime during the Akron run until we went from up 2 to down 10. No attempt to stop the bleeding, pivot the defensive plan, make a defensive change (God forbid we give zone a try). It just looks like downright lazy coaching at this point. I've never coached basketball a day in my life, but it seems like we ride "Plan A" and are willing to die on that hill instead of making any semblance of an in-game adjustment.

He is nowhere near a bust. Watching him in the HL when he was at GB and having a somewhat successful season in the SEC, I would expect him to dominate and carry this team. Similar to what Tanner did last year. 13 points a game while playing against some average teams is a bust in my eyes. He needs to step up and take over. |
