This is going to be another tough game. Oakland has a lot of experience in the backcourt and a ton of physicality in the front court. With the addition of Rocket Watts from Michigan State, they're ball handling should be top notch. I'm worried about how well we match up with Trey Townsend down low, and of course they've got a dagger of a sharpshooter in Blake Lampman.
If we're going to win this game we've got to exploit our speed and make plays under the basket and attack the rim with screens and cuts. I don't think taking this team on 1v1 will get us very far tomorrow.
I love how we really eat at Kampe's soul. You can tell how much it hurts him when we "just make shots" as he likes to say. Oakland isn't going to shoot themselves out of the game like Detroit did last night, so this figures to be a big test for us defensively as they've got a number of experienced players who can get hot in a hurry.
I'm worried that it'll be one of those nights where it'll be easy to fall in love with the 3 for us, and generally when that happens, we lose. I'd like to see a little slower pace than we saw last night and work the ball around more methodically through our offense. Someone is going to have to step up for us, last night it seemed to be Noel, I worry he won't be as successful tomorrow, so the rest of team needs to be ready to fill it in.

I don't understand what the hell has happened to our defense in the last 2 years. If we played D anything close to the way we used to, we would be undefeated this year. It seems like every game turns into a contest of who cn put up the most points vs who can stop the other team. It's hard to watch at times. |
