This is a must-win game. GB is in the toilet and Milwaukee is one of the hottest teams in the league. If we're okay with a split, this is the game the stats will give us a better chance to win.

I know I've been critical of Amari Davis this season...if he wants to prove me (and many of us) wrong, that has to start tonight. Nothing should get him more fired than to suit up against his former squad. I'm guessing he'll hear some boos from some of the fans and students; hopefully that motivates him to turn the page and at least have a good game that we desperately need to win.

Green Bay is just unable to stop Noel. He looks like he could score 40 tonight if they don't start double-teaming him.

Talent and size are clearly in our favor, yet we seem to have forgotten how we got the lead to 16. Rushed possession with bad pull ups have opened the door for the Pheonix. Need more of Noel inside to start the second half.

A little sloppier toward the end of the half, but "should" end up in a W at the end especially if we keep going inside.

This is Noel’s team next year. The key to us having a successful year next year is us slowing things down and going back to our 2 big man line up we used to play with Lou and Grant. We are struggling this year because Nagy came into this season with the idea that this team was loaded with good guards and thought he was going to be able to run up and down the court with a 4 guard line-up. His success here has always been centered on us playing good defense and being methodical on offense pounding the ball in the paint. We do not have many good guards on this team and most of them do not play defense worth a crap. Next year we should really go all in on playing with size. We should always have 2 bigs on the court and we have some talent there between Noel, Braun, Sisley, and Alex Garcia coming off his red-shirt year. We should play a legit SF at the 3 next year and get away from playing 3 guards. We have 2 really good options there between Welage and Drey Carter coming off his red-shirt year. The 1-2 spots is where I have my biggest concerns. We have 3 solid freshmen guards coming in and Logan Woods coming off his red-shirt year, but I am not sold on the other returning players. Keaton Norris and Alex Huibregste don't impress me at all. They are too slow to defend the athletic guards in the HL and neither has shown the ability to create his own shot let alone create offense for his teammates. If those 2 guys are starting, I have serious concerns about how successful we can be next year. |
