Just to play devil's advocate here... MAYBE they practiced beating the press all week long. MAYBE the players just didn't execute like they were supposed to. I just think it's a little silly to question coaches all the time when none of us have any idea what their practices were like, and what they were telling them in the huddles. So easy to be coach from the couch.

It seems to me that the slightly slower pace on offense not only improves our offensive efficiency, it also limits our defensive deficiencies. A win both ways and overall makes us a better team.

Other than shooting the Raiders were out rebounded, they committed more fouls and gave up more steals. I am thrilled the Raiders pulled this out.

I agree with most thoughts here but 86grad, you need to raise the bar on “good team”. Right now your bar is really low. Milwaukee is not a “good team”! They are ranked between 200-250 in Sagarin and Ken-Pom. Their NET is about 175. It is a good win because they are ahead of us in standings. But let’s not confuse them with a good team.
Interesting to me that looking at the NET the Horizon has one team in the top 150, and that is our perennial anchor, YSU. Sadly while our league used to be well above the MAC, today there are 5 MAC teams in the top 150. This league has really fallen on hard times. I am not sure we can turn it around.

Okay, keithfromxenia, thank you for the lecture on what is or isn't a "good team". I'll try to relate further comments on the matter to a national "bar" , instead of using the Horizon League as the bar. For now, I'll just correct my comment to say it was a good win.

I have jokingly called KFX "Dr Doom," for probably 20 odd years. I totally understand where he is coming from. He wants WSU to compete at the higher levels of Div I. He has been consistent on this since I met him. I don't see him changing as long as he is above ground.
