I see plenty of effort, but a lack of execution due to being slower than the opponent, much like Friday against CSU.

17 turnovers is the big issue of the day, in my opinion.

17 turnovers is the big issue of the day, in my opinion. And I think a huge chunk of them have been poor ball management by us rather than their athleticism. Just some terrible passing at times.

If Trey does transfer out, which is completely reasonable of him, I think it may be time to stop my season tickets.

If Trey does transfer out, which is completely reasonable of him, I think it may be time to stop my season tickets. Exactly what I have been saying. Who is going to lead the team when he's gone? Are we really going to put all our faith in the freshmen next year? Yes, enjoy what we have while we have it. Yes enjoy Trey Calvin and his greatness. But damn you have to look to the future eventually and it's not looking good unless we somehow land an impactful guard via transfer. Even if Trey comes back, he is going to need some help day one.

We're 0-3 in one possession conference games. Think of where we'd be if we'd have won those 3 games. Night and day difference to our season and our postseason seeding.

I think what did it for me is the most recent radio show. Nagy made a comment about not switching his recruiting of freshman and having them stay in the program. That doesn’t happen anymore. If he’s unwilling to change, I’m unwilling to pay my money.

A couple of conclusions. If Trey is not on his A game, maybe his A+ game we are in trouble. We have no other offense you can count on. No one else can create a shot on their own. If #3 gets a wide open 3 pointer he is very good. But he has got to get open somehow. Also , we are as slow and unathletic as I can remember us being. We cannot defend quick athletic players. Especially our inside guys.
Someone mentioned Tim . I am sure he tries hard, he missed two shots today that together did not total 7-8 feet. One from 3-4 feet in the lane he airballed it. I did not see the shot blocked, it just looked like an airball.
You need to hit up our supporting businesses to dig deep. If we cannot offer him a financial bonanza I fear he is gone and without him next year Is gonna be worse.
Also, if we do not start hitting the transfer portal it is going to be a tough go from here on.

Last year's ending papered over issues that the program has, largely due to Nagys recruiting and reshirt philosophy being out of step with the times. In the three years where Loudon Love was not a starter (including this year) Nagys team has never finished higher than 4th. The last five years have had a great run, with 2 NCAa and 2 NIT tourney bids, but the underwhelming regular season in year's where we didn't have Lou (plus Coach Nagy's refusal to change and replacing quality assistants with a high school coach that won witb talent developed in other districts) have me very worried the program is settling into true middling status in a bad HL.

Exactly. Last year was so much fun, Trey’s shot vs NKU was the most fun game I’ve ever been to, NFL and NBA included. I was there for the First 4 game. Great. Is that our goal? A first 4 win?

Watching the game today I heard something that made me go online to fact check. The announcer commented that the Raiders have earned four invites to the Dance. That jolted me a bit. I thought that cannot be right. We have been div i for 33 years or so. But it looks like they were right. Four tourney invites in 33 years! Wow. That is just not very impressive. The program has just not developed as I expected when I lined up outside tha pac to reserve my spots in the brand new Nutter center.
On a side note, watching our games on espn+ I have enjoyed hearing Chris and Jim. But I have been surprised at the road games . Most of those guys have been pretty good too. At least not bad.

This probably deserves its own thread or not here entirely. I decided to go to more away games and went to OU/Detroit Friday night. We’ve got a great environment and experience at the Nutter it was the worst fan experience I’ve seen at a D1 game.

If Trey does transfer out, which is completely reasonable of him, I think it may be time to stop my season tickets. If you plan on stop following a mid-major team in the instant transfer/NIL era every time a good player leaves then you need to stop following mid-major basketball.
