Cool that Davis reunites with Linc Darner. I've always wondered why Darner got canned at Green Bay. The people who know don't seem to be willing to say, which I understand.

Are we no longer going after Loveday and or Hughes?

Are we no longer going after Loveday and or Hughes? Loveday committed to Samford. Hughes is rumored to be going to ETSU.

Are we no longer going after Loveday and or Hughes? Our staff kicked the tires with both guys but didn’t end up offering either. Before you ask, we haven’t offered Frank Jakubicek yet either.

It's wonderful that Calvin is returning and Tanner is transferring back. But wow we are missing on everything else. I think our roster is better than last year. But not sure if we closed the gap with YSU and UWM. Can't believe I'm even saying that too.

We haven’t offered it to anybody yet so we haven’t missed on anyone.

The big three of Trey, Tanner and Noel should be better than any other "Big 3" in the league. They could average 50+ PPG between them. Tanner, Trey and Basile averaged 53+ PPG in 2021-2022. Having a core like that can mask a lot of flaws.
The questions I have about this season is:
Will WSU have a third big man to spell Noel/Braun?
Will WSU have enough quality outside shooters to capitalize on Noel's excellent inside play?
Will WSU have enough depth that Nagy trusts to play so the stars aren't worn down in February? I'd love to see a quality 9 player rotation.
Will the defensive rebounding be better than last year (and can Welage be the kind of rebounder that Nagy wants)?
I don't know as much about the freshmen so I will defer that conversation to someone who knows more. But how much can the freshmen contribute?
How long will it take for the team to gel at the start of the season? Essentially it seems like WSU has replaced Finke with Holden but having most everyone else in the rotation back should mitigate this concern.
---
I look forward to WSU basketball every year because they are my favorite sports team but this might be the most excited I've ever been. A lot has to happen but the ceiling is very high for 2024 and I can't wait until November.

I have no idea if we have any kind of a chance of getting him because he seems to have a lot of suitors in the portal, but both assistant coach Trice and Bere are now following Fairfield transfer Supreme Cook. He is a 6-9 junior center who was 3rd team all MAAC last year and averaged 13.1 points and 8.5 rebounds.

Regarding your last point, I haven't heard any more about it but the team is supposed to be taking an overseas trip this summer that should help a lot with working out the kinks prior to the start of the season.

I didn't think about that in this context so that is an excellent point! Hope it helps to bring the team closer together and reincoprating Tanner, the freshmen and the final scholarship player to the team.

Maybe my assumption was wrong, but I thought Bo was going to be a walk-on. Part of my basis for this was the wording: "Committed" rather than "Signed." More interesting - I just went back to check on Bo's announcement and it looks like that tweet has been deleted AND the story that was on the WSU Athletics website has been removed. Perhaps Bo isn't coming here after all. I don’t know what happened for sure yet. I’ll have to check into it. If he’s not coming my guess would be that he backed out after the announcement that Tanner was coming back. If that’s the case I’m glad he’s not coming. We need team oriented guys willing to put in the work to earn their spot in the rotation and their playing time. New article in DDN makes it seem as if Bo Myers is still coming. The news release was pulled when the staff realized Myers hadn't officially enrolled yet and the school isn't allowed to talk about the player until that happens.

For the love of god, why in the hell can’t we sign a serviceable PF to finish out this class? IUPUI is even landing decent transfers from the portal.

For the love of god, why in the hell can’t we sign a serviceable PF to finish out this class? IUPUI is even landing decent transfers from the portal. Our coaches need to stop "kicking the tires" with portal guys like Big D likes to call it and start going hard core after 2-3 guys they think can help us next year. We don't need an instant impact starter. We just need a serviceable post player that can give us 10-15 minutes a game and rebound and play decent defense. Anything above and beyond that is a bonus. It should not be that hard to find someone like this. Everyone else in the HL has been able to do this. This team has a chance to be special but we need more interior depth. Time for this staff to step up it's game.
