Detroit almost won their first game of the year today. They were tied with NKU with 1:45 left, then never scored again. NKU ended up winning 81-76, and Detroit went to 0-18 on the season.
I never would have dreamed that that game would be more entertaining than the train wreck I sat through last night.

Detroit just lost to GB and they are now 0-22. There are 362 D1 teams and their NET Ranking is 361. IUPUI's NET is 359. Even with these two bottom feeders the HL's Conference NET is 20 which is 4 spots better than the MAC. That surprised me.

Since OOC scores can also be posted here, it might be worth noting that the #16 team in the nation lost to Richmond tonight, 69-64. The score at the half was 20-15. I just added that last tidbit so that this wasn't just one of those "+1" posts. 🙂

The University of Detroit-Mercy got its first win against, who else but IUPUI.
NKU handed Green Bay its 4th HL loss. Oakland and GB now tied atop the standings.
Still plenty of possibilities, but Oakland has the easiest path to a regular season title IMO. Raiders likely to land anywhere from 2-7. I know, that narrows it down a lot.

Noah Reynolds did not play, and was in a walking boot. He is considered day-to-day with a "lower body injury"

If you're bored on this Friday night, you might turn on the end of the Youngstown State - Milwaukee game. Milwaukee came back from a 14-point halftime deficit and is down by 2 with 3 minutes to go. YSU's 7'3" Dynes just fouled out.
If Milwaukee can beat Youngstown State, we will be in sole possession of third place. The game against Oakland on Sunday could get a lot more interesting.
Edit: They're going to overtime in Milwaukee.
Edit 2: YSU wins in OT 84-80. They are in third place, we are a half game behind them in fourth. Sunday's games could really shake up the top of the standings. Number one Oakland vs. number four Wright State, and number two Green Bay vs. number 3 Youngstown State. If I'm looking at it right, Oakland will remain in first no matter what, but we could end up alone in third place, or tied for 4th, or somewhere in between. NKU is one game behind us and they are playing IUPUI, so Sunday is looking like a must win for the Raiders.

With YSU's road win at Milwaukee that brings the top-4 HL teams to a combined 22-16 (.579) road record in conference play. The remaining 7 teams are a combined 17-39 (.304) A Wright State win @ Oakland on Sunday would raise their record to 7-3 on the road and would "clinch" a tie for the best road record in HL play this season (Oakland is already 7-3, all other teams have at least 3 losses already) A .700 road winning pct would be the best for Wright State under Scott Nagy with exception of the 2020-21 COVID season where they played all road games in front of limited fans*. *As opposed to just some games
