Why do we insist on playing all 3 freshman at once? Logan plus Trey is okay, or Logan plus KK, but not all three. Scoring completely stops, and we go from up 5 to down 5.

Whoever was “responsible “ for checking #32 after fw put up a shot failed miserably at the assignment. He got way too many offensive rebounds because no one was between him and the basket. Basic basketball. You put a body on their rebounders.

Five minute overtime and we hit all of 1 shot? At end of regulation and end of OT, we just handed the ball to Trey and stood around. FW knows this and double teams him knowing he has no one to pass it to. Run the offense! At end of reg, Trey then waited to long and didn't start going till about 5 seconds left, so he had no time to pass or drive for a better shot, and has to chuck it from the logo. No chance for a rebound because horn sounded while the ball was in the air. In OT he did drive, but right into a double team (triple team?) because they knew he wasn't passing it, and got blocked. Why not set up a real play with some options underneath the basket?

I have no direct insight, but read something on Facebook where someone said hope that Trey feels better on Saturday. I also wondered about Brandon -- he didn't stay out and complete the shoot around before the start of the 2nd half (went over and sat on the bench for a few minutes). I think when all three freshmen were out there (at least the first time) was after Tanner picked up his 2nd foul, but not sure if illness may/may not have contributed to the decision...although, I think it was AJ who was resting at that point, not Brandon. Anyways, I agree with you about not wanting to have all three of those guys out there at once.

Way too many bad passes resulting in 18 turnovers. Terrible officiating. There needs to be more production from the bench, but it's tough to expect much from the bench when they aren't given minutes. Certainly can't help playing OT when all the starts have so many minutes.
The "play" at the end of regulation was terrible. Tied game with plenty of time to do something. No passing and the end result is a desperation 3-point attempt. What did Nagy learn from that? Nothing because another awful attempt on the last possession of overtime. Everyone and their mother and their grandmother expect Trey to take the final shot for WSU. Is Nagy too lazy or too uncreative to draw up a play?

It's been going around the team apparently.

That was a bad loss. The atmosphere was bad from the start with it being spring break for students. WSU seemed to play with an attitude that they would eventually win, but they played with little urgency. FW's confidence grew as the game played on. Each time WSU took the lead, they seemed relieved and then relaxed instead of taking control of the game.

Andhe implied there were others, saying we just need to get healthy by Saturday. That could be Brandon. Also could be Wellage, who has been sick a lot lately, and didn't play at all tonight.

Maybe someone's already mentioned it, but I find it unconscionable that we have the ball in our hands at the end of the game with that much time AND 2 timeouts, yet we don't talk things over. It's not like you can save those for OT. I don't understand why we didn't call a timeout and talk through what we wanted to do. Seems to me, Coach dropped the ball and that opportunity, especially given the apparent illness issues compounding our play...

I guess everyone in the building will know what's happening if the Raiders are in any close games this season. Likely we will see the same result we saw twice against PFW, and against Toledo: No passing while wasting clock to take a poor shot.
