At least you don't have my job. Our teams are so f'ing sorry we had to change our name because no one could tell us apart from the mid-con.

one of my biggest gripes about "leadership" of the horizon is our crappy record getting on tv. we have had some success, eg butler and uwm, but our tv participation is minimal. on my direct tv, a basic package, i can get the meac game of the week on sat or sun on most weekends. also some southeastern conference, not the sec. our group at the top is just not getting it done. GO RAIDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

More games will be added later, the HL still has a contract with Fox Sports to show 1 Saturday game (Men or Female). I agree, there should be more games on TV. Hell, I have the Fox Sports Package and I see Indiana State play more than the rest of the HL. As for Milwaukee, it is in the works to get all away games on a local station - WMLW. The HL needs to sign a contract with some station to broadcast a majority of the games. Last year Butler and Loyola played on HDnet TV, what's wrong with trying to get a deal with that station? I know the station in not available in all markets and you need to have a HD TV to view the channel, but at least it is a start.

Posted Oct. 26, 2005 College basketball: Horizon League puts UWGB games on live Web TV By Rob Demovsky rdemovsk@greenbaypressgazette.com Every Horizon League basketball game the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay plays this season will be televised live — on the Internet. What began as an experiment last season by a couple of conference schools has turned into a full-blown broadcasting initiative. The league is putting the $400,000 it used last season to produce regional telecasts on Fox Sports toward free Internet broadcasting for all men’s and women’s league games. Here’s how it will work at the Resch Center: • The live video that is shown on the arena’s scoreboard will be sent out over the Internet via video streaming. • Audio will be provided by the home team’s radio broadcast. • The games will be archived so they can be viewed at any time. UWGB men’s basketball coach Tod Kowalczyk and athletics director Ken Bothof are strong proponents of Internet broadcasting. “This helps us in two ways: For our fans, they have a chance to see us play every single (conference) game,” Kowalczyk said. “It also helps our recruiting. We can tell Tevah Morris’ parents in Clinton, Tenn., that they’ll be able to watch their son’s games over the Internet.” The Horizon League still will have some games on ESPN’s networks, including the conference tournament championship game and at least two regular-season games (including UWGB’s Jan. 14 home game against UW-Milwaukee on ESPN2). Horizon League commissioner Jon LeCrone, who was in Green Bay on Tuesday for UWGB’s tipoff luncheon, said the new ESPNU also will show several league women’s basketball games. The new plan means the end of Horizon League games on Fox Sports’ regional networks, which were paid by the conference to televise games on Saturday afternoons. “In the past, we would do 12 to 14 league games on regional TV,” Bothof said. “Detroit may be playing UIC, but we weren’t always getting that game here. Now, if you have access to broadband Internet, you can get on a computer and get any game in the league. You could be watching our game at Wright State and then at halftime, go to another Web site and see how another game is going.” UWGB’s first scheduled Internet broadcast will be the conference opener at UWM on Dec. 17, but Bothof said a couple of non-conference games could be shown before that as a test run. www.greenbaypressgazette.com/sports/archive/sports_23130985.shtml
