UIC 56 Butler 75
YSU 84 Loyola 76
Two surprising scores, I thought Butler could win, but not by a 19 pt margin. Also the Penguins upset the Ramblers at home, that will bring the Loyola fans back to reality.

I saw this on Butler's message board about the UIC game: Did anyone else see Jimmy Collins punch one of his players (Justin Bowen - Who Also Started) in the chest at the 16 minute timeout in the first half? He was yelling at Collins and proceeded to throw his head band at Collins... He stood up and Collins threw a punch at the kid......p214.ezboard.com/fbuhoopsfrm1.showMessage?topicID=8758.topic

I enjoy going to Loyola's message board and reading about how Loyola is going to get an at large bid this year and then get invited to join another conference. I hope this loss doesn't bring JCT back to reality just yet. His delusional posts are a steady source of amusement.

This loss even casts into doubt on an NIT bid. I thought we were a little bit better than this. This is very depressing. Just after the end of last season I was diagnosed with a fatal disease. March 14, 2005. It's only pharmeceuticals that keep me alive. I was hoping that this year would be good, and I've been fighting against work problems and dreams that lure me towards death. I was hoping to hang on through next year, but if I have to see another game like this, there's no point. What is the difference between dying tonight and dying next year if I have to see the kind of crap we saw today? There's no frickin' point. I'm tired. I guess it's never going to change. At the outside, my life expectancy is about eight years. The last couple of years will be ugly. Why should I sit through this? Good news for LeCrone, Behrns, and Planek." p206.ezboard.com/framblermaniafrm1.showMessage?topicID=6835.topic

This was taken from today's Indy Star: Teamwork was a sensitive issue for UIC (8-6, 1-1). Witnesses saw Collins shove Justin Bowen in the first half after the two had a heated sideline exchange. Bowen played just 13 minutes and scored six points, 11 below his team-leading average. Collins declined to discuss the incident specifically but said UIC coaches try to teach players lessons apart from basketball. "Better to learn them out here on the basketball court than to have to learn them in jail or in the ground," Collins said. "Learn some things about what respect means."www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060103/SPORTS06/601030391/1004/SPORTS

Maybe we shouldn't tell him that YSU now has more wins (4) against Loyola than any other HL team. He might not be able to step back from the ledge if he knew that. This is YSU's 5th season in the HL. Combined, YSU is 13-53 against the HL. They are 9-48 against the rest of the HL for a winning percentage of 16%. Against Loyola, they are now 4-5 for a winning percentage of 44%.
