I wasn't talking to you. They do not own UD. UD has a 20 game lead on them in wins and they pretty much split every year. Who does WSU own? Cederville? UD hasn't won a game @xavier in over 20 years.

This comes from a team that has never won their league. By the way, UD has won your league.

UD's 5 years in the MCC were less than spectacular. They went 32-32 in conference play and 67-83 overall.
Way to tell us douche bag.

In NCAA basketball the winner of the conference tourny is the winner of the conference.
UD=1990 MCC Champs
Look at your conference yearbooks if you want proof.
If you want to stick to this argument than WSU has never won a conference championship.

I'm confused which argument are we sticking with??
WSU won a conference championship in 1992-3 (Mid-Con, defeating UIC in the finals).

What kind of trash talk is this!
In the league
UD was 67-83
WSU 71-95
Considering O'Brien was the coach then I am surprised it was that good. You act like that makes a point. Every basketball fan in the world knows they sucked then.
The thing is I'm not even a UD fan I am a Butler fan.

Bballraider, They said UD never won the HL/MCC. I'm saying they did when they won the tourny.
I was just saying that if that is the stance they are taking then WSU didn't when the MidCon either.
Hope that makes it clear.
I wasn't really trying to be a problem. I just came on here to see what you guys were talking about. I went back and read what I posted and really didn't see where I was out of line. You guys are the ones that started calling me names like Dumb Ass and douche bag.
I hope the rest of your fans represent your team better than that.

Thanks for clarifying John, I was getting lost which argument you were following from your early statement: This kind of contradicted your later statements. John, you were lucky they liked you. ;D I've seen them treat others much worse. Years of Dayton fans acting superior has led to a shoot first, ask questions later attitude when it comes to the flyer fanatics. By the way we have a pretty good record in the UD Arena. Lifetime we are 16-6, of course most of the games were not against Dayton.

In my opinion UD fans are no different than any other fans. I followed them when they were in the MCC with my Bulldogs.
If you don't have a high regard for the team you like why like them?
I think you guys are just sensitive to them because they are the team across town. It is the same way all over the country. From OSU/Mich, Marquette/UWM, DePaul/Loyola, UIC, etc.
You can't deny they have a nice program overall. I was sad when they left the league but we survived just like you will without them.

I agree many WSU fans are sensitive to UD fans, and don't get me wrong not all UD fans are that way. But there are quite a few that look at WSU as second hand citizens in the basketball world, and take every chance they can to try and smack us down.
I am actually a fan of Dayton after my Raiders. My cousin was a team captain of the Flyers in 1972.
And I am sure you guys get the same "we are better than you treatment" from IU fans, and if they were to do it on your board, I am sure they would get smacked down too.

I almost brought up IU but I thought that would sound hypocritical.
