Loyola (with Blake Schilb) and Green Bay should be the favorites for next year. Wright State returns 3 very good players and has an interesting supporting cast, but we have alot of questions to answer before we should be considered the favorite.

Unless our perimeter shooting improves over last year we will be and underdog to win the HL. We have a solid nucleus ( Wood, Drew, Plieman ) but no clear cut 3 pt. shooter. This weakness could mean the difference between finishing 1st or 3rd in the HL. I look for teams to pack it in on us and play a lot of zone and dare us to hit outside shots. We should be one of the top teams but 1st? We shall see.

I think we will see an improvement in our 3 pt shooting next year, mainly from having Coach Brownell's offense in place. His motion offense creates open shots and we do have players that can make open 3s. Burleson, Wood, and Scott can make 3s and both of our incoming recruits can shoot the 3. None of our current players were good at creating their own 3 pt shot last year and unfortunately we fell behind in many games and were forced to shoot well contested 3s. I don't think we are going to be a great 3 point shooting team next year, but I think we will put up respectable numbers. At least I hope we do.

Anything has to be an improvement over last season's offense.
