Another positive remark from Bballfan. This will have more positive than negative effects. And, Keith of X, to answer your question ... yes, there are still some players out there and some of them we are looking at. AND, don't be surprised if we get another transfer that would be a great addition.

If you really think 3 post players is enough I don't know what to say. Especially since one of those players did nothing last year. We have 4 players that will play the post next year. Jordan and Drew will start. Craft and Scottie Wilson will back them up. Three of those players played extensive minutes for us last year. Butler only had 2 players 6-7 or larger see any time last season. You don't have to be big to have success. It sure helps, but it isn't the only criteria. I'll put another spin on this. I would love for some of you to just once post a concern for this team. Everything is not fantastic and ok all of the time. I don't remember reading ANYWHERE on this board that everything is fantanstic. No one is predicting that we are going dancing next year. No one is even predicting that we are one of the front runners to win the HL next year. I think most of us accept that we will be rebuilding to an extent. We still have more than enough talent to be competitive in the HL.

What I meant is that some on this board act like nothing is ever a big deal. Raiderfan said: I think many of you will blow this off as not a big loss but I really think this is a pretty significant blow. He is one of the few true post players on the team. He brought a real toughness and bulk (260 lbs worth) to the team. He was a great substitute for Jordan during games. I'm bumming out! Big D said: On the negative side: This hurts us this year. Walt was one of our only legit posts players with bulk. He was also a player with a mean streak that could intimidate opponents. I thought Walt might have a chance to start at PF this year and allow Drew to move to his more natural SF position. We will almost have to play Drew at PF now.Buckeyefan said: I liked Chancellor even when he played out of control at times. He was one of the few guys on the floor that never looked like he gave up in games. I'll miss his competitive fire. Good luck Big Walt. Raiderrunt said: Chancellor will be missed this year, we will have to se BB's system as to how he uses people to see how much he will be missed. Are you reading another board than the rest of us? The above quotes sounds like several fans are taking Walt Chancellor's departute as a a big deal.
