Don't read a whole lot into the score.
Parkside returns almost the entire team from a year ago that went to the NCAA D-II tournament. They'd beat a few teams in this league.
Not only that, UWM played almost the entire team, while Parkside played their starters.

I don't think we can stress enough to you guys how much of a headache Avo is.
He got suspended for missing practices and offseason workouts. Jeter had enough of it the other day. That's my fairly educated guess.
Avo is no team player.
His biggest scoring games last season, a few in the 30s, all came with an L for UWM. So trust me when I say this: UWM fans aren't sweating it.
He won't return because of some big game. He'll return if he cleans up his act and checks his ego.

Wow. Too bad.
Good luck to him in getting his degree, good for him on making a tough decision to plan ahead for his likely bright future.

1 UWM - I may be being a homer, but when you see this team, you won't think I'm completely out of my mind.
2 Butler - A.J. Graves and the Farmers have serious skill.
3 Detroit - Isn't Brandon Cotton eligible for social security?
4 WSU - Wood is a HUGE loss. It'll be interesting to see who steps into that role.
5 UW-Green Bay - New logo, same result; mediocrity
6 Loyola - Polka and Leon Young are a formidable tandem.
7 Valpo - They're in for a rude awakening. This ain't no MCC. Wait. Damn. Let me try that again. This ain't no Mid-Con.
8 CSU - 7Up recently signed on to have their Spot become the mascot of CSU. You're telling me he already is? Damn!
9 Youngstown State - Hey, at least they're not UIC.
10 UIC - 'Hey, are we actually looking up at YSU?' I guess members of their coaching staff like getting a look at other teams' bottoms.

Stop rooting against us! Aaaaah!
I thought there was mutual admiration for the past few years? What happened?
Root for UIC to lose, they're the tool boxes in this.
I hope you beat YSU, I do, but I think that rate of 11-12 is too much to root for us to lose.

Brownell had all those seasons where?

I hope he is gone for good. The HL needs to upgrade some of their coaches. Watson and Collins have been slipping for years as coaches and relied on their teams talent to carry them. Brownell would win 20 games with the talent on UIC's bench. UIC will be lucky to finish 500 under Collins. Yeah, sure. I read this board, but rarely do I comment. In fact, I think this may be my first post. Anyways, I don't think you're in the space to talk. While I have never been a fan of Perry Watson, and I my hate for Jimmy Collins is as black as my school's colors and his heart, you can't argue that they haven't been successful. If you remember correctly, Watson was 2 Adrian Tigert free throws away from stopping UWM's run to the Sweet Sixteen, and Jimmy Collins upset UWM and won the 2004 HL Tournament. On the other hand, WSU's coaching job is a revolving door. I don't think Jimmy Collins should have a job; his players have too many academic problems. However, I don't think the fact that he is a detestable little shit has much to do with the fact that he is a successful coach. You say that he relies on his talented players. Oh well, I guess that's okay, seeing as HE recruited them. Before you annoint Brownell a better coach than Jimmy Collins, make sure you know whether JC really has been "slipping for years" as you are so apt to point out. If I remember correctly, they did just as well as you guys in conference last season.
