What do you think our coaches will do with the last scholarship now that the season is over?

We need another athletic post player. Ronnie is too slow. Gavin only has 1 year left and Jeron Lewis isn't in good enough shape to play Brownell's style of defense.

How about a point guard that can make free throws.

How about a point guard that can make free throws. I agree. Will Graham is a liability at the end of games because he cannot knock down his FTs.

Save it for next year. We are in on a whole bunch of great 2009 recruits.

Chris Henderson from Warren G. Harding would be hard to pass up.

Chris Henderson from Warren G. Harding would be hard to pass up. I don't think he has the grades to qualify.

This is a tough question. I do not know which way I would go. Yes we need a true point guard who can handle the ball a little bit better and yes we need a better post presence so I think we should recruit a 6'11" point guard that can also play in the post ;D.
Actually I would not mind a player like Mark Anderson who I would consider a wing player. He is 6'8" and can score and rebound.
Our point guard situation depends on Gardner's health and if N'Gai continues to develop at the point. If Gardner comes back healthy and N'Gai continues to develop we are probably ok at the point. I am most concerned with Gardners health.
By the way, for those of you who had not seen the video of Chris Henderson posted over on the recruiting thread by Bam is missing a spectacular, and I mean SPECTACULAR play by Henderson.

Mark Anderson is not a 2008 recruit. He is only a freshman at Sinclair. He has to finish his associates degree before he can transfer and be eligible to play at a D1 program. If he transferred to WSU this summer he would have to sit out a year like Scottie Wilson did when he transferred from Cincinnati State CC a few years back. Chris Henderson has some work to do in the classroom to become eligible to play as a freshman.

There are only 3 players I would want us to sign at this point: Chris Henderson, Robert Eppinger, or Stephen Albrecht. Henderson has monster athletic ability and at 6-8, 215 has room to grow. His biggest concern is grades. I'd take him even as a non-qualifier. You can't teach athletic ability and size. Robert Eppinger is a 6-8, 240 pound JUCO stud. He is probably out of our reach, but if he was interested I'd take him in a heart beat. He is the banger we all want inside. Stephen Albrecht is a 6-2 combo guard from Indiana. He has the best pure 3 point shot I have seen in a long time. Take him and find a way to get him on the court.
If you cannot sign any of these guys, hold onto it for 2009. It is a loaded class and we are being mentioned with some great players.

We don't need another paper thin guard. We need an athletic post. CSU and Butler are both going to be loaded inside. We need to match up better with them.

You might not like it but the kid is thin as a rail and physically not D1 ready. He needs to hit the weight room for a season before he is going to contribute on a D1 roster. He is thinner than NGai was coming out of high school. If he signs with a D1 schools, I think he will red-shirt. He might also be better served to go to a prep school for a year. We are stocked at 6-3 to 6-4 guards: Graham, Gardner, Duggins, Brown, and Tabler. We need to sign someone that will contribute next year, not someone that will be a 4th string shooting guard.

I really hope we end up adding Chris Henderson or Ray Chambers. With Scottie graduating, we don't have any truly great athletes in the post. Either one of these guys has the potential to develop into difference makers in the HL.
