Which newcomer do you think will have the biggest impact next season for WSU?

We need Cory Cooperwood to be an impact player for us with the graduation of Jordan and Scottie.

Scott Grote. He has been practicing with the team for a year so he should be more familiar with our offense/defense than Cooperwood. He is also a mature player. He spent a year at prep school after HS. He also spent a year at Duquesne before sitting out last year. He is as old as our senior class, but only a sophomore eligibility-wise.

Jeron Lewis. Very few players have his size and athletic ability in the HL. He will be hard to match up against.

I'm going with the 2 time JUCO All-American.

If Scott Grote is 1/2 the player his father was, he will be a player for us.

Cory Cooperwood is the athletic post we need for next year.

Cory Cooperwood is the athletic post we need for next year. True, but Grote can stretch defenses like Pete Campbell did for Butler.

I can't honestly vote until I see the team in action. All I know is this team is going to be fun to watch.

I'm a homer so I'm going with Grote. Does that mean you're a Centerville native BigD? I am personally going with Cooperwood. But Pressley is going to surprise some people. Actually I think all four of these guys are going to be contributors, with Cooperwood and Grote at the top of the list no doubt. No, I'm not from Centerville. I was just referring to the fact that Grote is a local kid.

Pete Campbell was an incredibly good 3-point shooter. Let's not get carried away ;-) Grote is a very good 3 point shooter as well. We will also benefit from the fact that he is a complete player. He can score from anywhere on the court, not just from 3. He is a good passer and plays good team defense. As good of a 3 point shooter as Campbell was, that is all he did. Grote has the potential to be a much better overall player, IMO. Time will tell.

I think all four will be impact players in one game or another depending on match-ups. I am going to go with Cooperwood as the biggest impact player because he comes in as a two time juco all-American which is tough to do. But mostly I am picking him because he will probably get the most playing time in a position of need for the Raiders, the 4 position. His rebounding and defense alone will be a huge impact even if he doesn't score, which I doubt will be the case. He may be the most athletic out of the four players and should be a tough match-up for other teams night in and night out.
But as I said earlier, all four of these players will come up big in different games and make a difference during the season. I can't wait for the season to get here. It should be a great year.

I think Jeron Lewis is going to be a pleasant surprise.
