Perry Returns to WSU Athletics

Roderick Perry, formerly an associate athletic director at Ohio University, has been named senior associate athletic director/director of administration at Wright State University, Raider Director of Athletics Bob Grant announced today. Perry had previously been an associate athletic director at WSU.
"I am thrilled to have Rod back at Wright State," Grant said. His extensive background in compliance and academics coupled with his familiarity with our university make him a tremendous fit. He will play a vital role in the administration. I am looking forward to working with him again."
In his role, Perry will oversee various areas, including academic advising, sports information, compliance and athletic training, as well as several sports in addition to general administration for the day-to-day activities of the department.
"I am extremely excited to be returning to Wright State University in a new capacity," Perry said. "Bob and I have a great relationship, and I look forward to assisting him and working with the entire staff, as we build upon past successes, moving the department to new heights in both academics and athletics."
At Ohio, Perry was associate athletic director for compliance and student services since early 2007. The Auburn University graduate came to Wright State in the fall of 1999 as an academic advisor. After serving in that position for one year, he was named assistant athletic director for academic services. He was promoted to associate athletic director for complaince and academic services in addition to overseeing several sports in 2001.
A native of Auburn, Alabama, Perry graduated from Auburn in 1995 with a degree in Sports Administration. He also earned a master's degree in Higher Education Administration also from Auburn in 1998 and is completing his doctorate degree in Higher Education Administration at the University of Dayton.
