Solid B. I would have given us an A, if we had one more BCS program on the schedule instead of Norfolk State.

I like it and gave it an A. I really like that the students will be in session for most of our home games. We have much more energy in the Nutt House when the students are there.

I already said in the schedule thread that I really like the schedule. It is challenging and should prepare us for conference play. It also gives us a chance to put together a decent post season resume if we are successful. That's really what's important when all is said and done.

I gave it a B. It has everything except the name value I think we need to attract casual fans.

I also gave it a B. The home schedule is a solid mix of good schools coming to the Nutter.

Decent schedule. Not nearly good enough for an at large bid.

I gave it a B. The schedule as a whole is an upgrade over what we had last year.

I gave it a B. I would have given it an A if we would have scheduled another Big name program.

I think having any chance of an at-large is a pipe dream, but I like the optimism. I think we'll be really good this year but will have to win the Horizon tourney to get in the NCAAs. I think we have to win the Horizon League this year to go to the dance, but I don't think it is impossible for a HL team to get an at large bid. You just have to schedule good enough and be successful within that schedule. Butler has had at large success because they get into preseason tournaments and knock off BCS programs and the rest of their nonconference schedule is good enough to justify it. Our schedule this year is good, but we don't face enough of the big boys to give us a chance to make a name for ourself before selection Sunday. I honestly think our schedule is only 1-2 games away from giving us legit at large consideration. We should have dropped our 2 lowest nonconference games. Norfolk State is a buy game for us and they are horrible. We would have been much better off taking a buy game vs a beatable BCS program on the road to build up our resume. We might have been better served to schedule one more solid home/away series with a top 100 mid-major instead of Toledo or Central Michigan. The average RPI of our current nonconference opponents is 138. That will improve after you add in our Bracket Buster game. Hypothetically, if you eliminate Norfolk State (257) and Toledo (187) and replace them with a buy game vs Illinois (102) and a home/away series with Southern Ill. (62) our nonconference opponent's RPI drops to 113. FYI, Butler's nonconference schedule last year had an average RPI of 129 and they were a lock for an at large bid.
