Big difference playing in a tiny gym with hardly any fans, and miles away from either campus and games like @ Wake Forest and @ Butler... Puerto Rico wasn't at the Nutt, but it sure wasn't a true ROAD game. You obviously have never traveled to an away game at Loyola or YSU. Not a whole lot different than Puerto Rico. Infact I've traveled to both of those places... yes... they're horrible environments... but Puerto Rico was not anything like an away game... there were more WSU fans there than anyone Please don't act like I haven't been to any other gyms or am ignorant to basketball for being a student..... And Irish has attacked me in the same manner for no reason... I thank both you (Big D) and Irish for the contributions you have made for Raider Basketball... but please... quit acting like us 20 year olds are retarded to basketball theory... I study basketball whenever the chance I get when I'm not doing schoolwork... I understand the history of the Raiders, and coaching philosophies... I read the media guide cover to cover... You are my elders and I respect my elders as I was brought up, but how about we all be rational? It's just a friggin message board... Everyone here takes this wayyyy too seriously... NOTHING anyone says here on this board has any relevance to the actual program..

NOTHING anyone says here on this board has any relevance to the actual program. I'm going to disagree with you my young friend. I know Irish. I have for over 30 years. He has contributed to the building of the Nutter Center, the pavillion, and he has already contributed to the future building of Raider village. He helped pay for Schillings buyout when we fired him. He helped pay Biancardi's buyout when we fired him. He also helped contribute to Brownell's raise last summer. Now what happens if say, some young fans like yourself pissed him off on this message board enough that he decides that Raider hoops isn't worth his time or financial support anymore. Where would that leave the ACTUAL program.

Coach B could win with an all walk on team and I stand behind him. And not only that, if you think a head coach of a D-1 program would just all of a sudden walk away about something posted on a message board by a student, then you are thinking of a coach who is not very committed to the building of a program, which I think we all know Coach Brownell is Plus I love how you and Irish bring up your ability to financially help buyout coaches, build facilities, etc. We get it, you have money and we appreciate what you do for the program.... Doesn't mean a friggin thing on this board though. Sorry.

Give it a rest baldraiderfan. Big D and Irish Raider contribute a great deal to Raider athletics and they contribute even more to this board. Big D has provided us with recruiting information long before the days of Rivals and Scout. You aren't making yourself any friends with your rants.

I said a FAN LIKE IRISH might decide to walk away from supporting WSU athletics because a young fan like youself might piss him off on this message board. I never said anything about Brownell. Without fans like Irish and his financial support, there would be no Coach Brownell at WSU. We would have never been able to pay him what we offered him to leave UNCW. We wouldn't have been able to give him his raise. So yes, what is said on a message board does matter to the program.

Apologize for my misreading... writing papers and taking a break to come to the board is not something I'll do again... Ganggreen, is that the reason I'm here? To make friends? Sadly no... I just find if idiotic how you guys just bash the students on here and act like elitists claiming this is "your" board. You guys need to give it a rest. This is just arrogant on your part. You want us to not show up to the student section? It wasn't long ago 3 guys was a HUGE WSU student section. Guys like you make me feel like my team is becoming more and more like UD for christ's sake with all the arrogance on this board. Go on acting like what you post here really matters... what you think the outcome of a game, or if we should switch up our defense really f**king matters you are living in a bubble... (Now here's a crazy idea! Quit trying like overgrown babies to try to get the last word and discuss what our final record will be at the end of the season......)

Boys, feel free to continue your pissing match via PM's or open up a thread dedicated to the ignorance of youth / arrogance of old people.

When one thinks about what has happened to Vaughn, and JD's uncertain status right now, you realize that it is pure speculation to try to project a season end record. What if JD is limited the rest of the season? What if another starter goes down or stops hitting the basket? We simply don't know what the future holds for Thursday night, let alone the season's ending.

Plus: The recent spike in offensive production from Tabler and Grote should be enough make up for JD's points should he have to sit out.

This game will have a great bearing on the rest of the season. If we beat Butler, I think it will catapult us through the rest of the season.
