How should we use our last scholarship for 2009?

Sign a post player. Preferably a JUCO that can come right in and start at center.

I hope the best available athlete is a big man. I think right now we have too many guards, unless we want to run a 4 guard lineup lol.

Sign a guard. I don't think we can count on JD being healthy next year.

Sign a guard. I don't think we can count on JD being healthy next year. I agree. Especially after I saw Tyler Koch play yesterday. He's a forward all the way. He is a legit 6-6 and he has filled out well. He will be playing Todd Brown's position. He's not quick enough for the 2 and he doesn't handle the ball well enough to play the 2. He will be an outstanding 3 in college.

Koch was still playing on his sprained ankle yesterday. He is quick enough to play shooting guard when he's healthy, but his best position will probably be the 3.

We need to go after the best available player. My top choices would be Bill Edwards Jr or Marquis Mathis. Either could step in and start next year for us.

I'll take the best available post player. I think it's highly unlikely that Edwards comes here but he's number one on my list.

Landing a 6-10 JUCO who can play with his back to the basket is on the top of my wish list......................or I'd take Marquis Mathis or better yet I'd take Bill Edwards Jr.

I'm hoping its the Mathis kid from Cincinnati State. It looks like he has the kind of stats we need to rebound and play so decent interior defense. Edwards would be great, but I think he will be headed to a BCS school.
