I saw a story about UNC basketball and it got me thinking about our Raiders. UNC plans to put on a game that features former Tar Heel greats that went on to play pro ball. tarheelblue.cstv.com/sports/m...062309aab.htmlThat got me thinking about how WSU could incorporate an alumni game to another sporting event. I know it won't happen partly because of funding and partly due to Coach Brownell not caring for midnight madness type of events, but I would love to see us do a true midnight madness event that also incorporated an alumni game. So here is my question for everyone. If you had to put together two 7-8 man roster for an alumni game, who would you pick? Take into account the age of some of our alumni when you come up with your rosters. We probably only want alumni from the 1990s on.

I don't ever see it happening. Not just because of Brownell not liking Midnight madness, but because many of the alumni wouldn't be available. Some are still playing ball overseas. Some now live overseas or at least not in the immediate area. Most importantly, many of those guys aren't quite at their old playing weight/shape and wouldn't want to suit up again.

Midnight Madness has really died out around college basketball in the recent years, with more and more coaches deciding to hold a true practice instead. There's just not enough demand to hold the event.

I'd love to see any of our past Raider greats, but like others have pointed out, I don't see it happening.

I love the idea. But in order to have an event like this the demand has to be there and i dont think there is enough. If we had a somewhat smaller basketball only facility maybe. But having a midnight madness and alumni game would be sweet!!

I see this happening sometime down the road when our fanbase has grown enough to support this type of event.
