I don't know how many of you got a chance to get out to Fox and Hound to attend the welcome reception for our 2 new coaches but A+ to everyone that helped put that event together.
Coach Donlon is going to be an absolute superstar here. I really mean that. His enthusiasm is contagious - you can't help but get fired up hearing him speak. He really loves this University and everything it has to offer. I can just picture him walking into a young kids living room and selling them on coming to play for Wright State.
Some nice nuggets about his scheduling desires (wants a BCS team to come to the Nutter Center every season) and it sounds like he's on his way to making that a distinct reality. Also some very candid comments about the school across town and our record now against them (RE: Mays). I'm paraphrasing but to the effect of "anytime they want to improve their record against us we'll be happy to play them but their 0-1 right now".
Brownell was incredible for our program but I don't think we're going to miss a beat with Donlon in charge. In fact, I can easily see us taking the next step over the next several years. When does the season start?!?

Did he say anything about what he is doing with our last scholarship for this year or about our schedule for next year?

I never heard about the event. I wish I would have known. I would have loved to meet our new coaches. Did Coach Donlon say anything about when he was going to hire his final assistant coach?

He specifically mentioned that "he had one scholarship" when making a joke about getting DaShaun back for one more season so I don't believe we've filled it yet.
Donlon and Grant both commented that we have a home and home with Air Force in place and a 2 for 1 with Cincinnati set up but we're just waiting on the final ink to dry on the contracts. I would assume its a done deal since they felt comfortable talking about it in public though.

Thanks for the report Ohiopirate. Sounds like the schedule is going to be pretty tough next year.
