I'm not trying to be disrespectful to Southern Illinois, but I don't think I'll need to change the title of this thread to Game 6: Purdue.

Lets hope Purdue does win. That will give us a chance at a victory this weekend. If Purdue loses, I am sure they are going to take it out on us tomorrow.

Southern Illinois should be another good test for us. Hopefully we'll have a little bit better results than tonight.

I hope to see Land get a little bit more involved in the offense today. When he is making threes too it spreads out the denfense and opens up the middle for Duggins and Evans to drive the lane. We also need to keep Mpondo out of foul trouble.

My biggest concern is that we start running our offense the WHOLE game. When we are moving the ball we create open shots. At the end of the game we stopped running our offensive sets and just let Vaughn and N'Gai try to win the game going one on one against Richmond. They are both very good players but they can't carry this team. The reason we had such a great comeback vs Oakland was that several guys got into the act: Vest, Troy, Cooper, and Vaughn all hit big shots at the end of that game. Battle knocked down 4 straight FTs too. We need to play team basketball for 40 minutes, not 35.

Our senior leaders need to make sure they are leading the team and not trying to carry us.
