Coach Donlon mentioned during his coach's show after the Hofstra game that we probably wouldn't return the Hofstra game until 2012/13.

This year we had 8 regular OOC games + Bracket Busters + the Chicago Invitational. I would bet we will have a similar schedule to this and that it is already fairly well complete. We have 6 of the 8 regular OOC games set (Air Force, Cincinnati, Charlotte, Central Michigan, Miami, and Ohio U). I would assume we are going to continue to participate in Bracket Busters. All that remains is 2 more OOC games and a multi-team event.

I hope we drop the 2 Division II games next year. +1. I also hope we start a couple of home/home series on the road with some teams with some name recognition. We have a good slate of teams coming to the NC next year in UC, Ohio, and Charlotte. We need to start a few series on the road so that our home schedule in 2 years will also have some good names on it.

I hope the UC game at home isn't one of our very first games of the year. It's going to take us a few games to come together as a team without this year's seniors.
I'd take a couple home/home games starting on the road against a good mid-major or another 2 for 1 against a BCS school to start on the road. I'd love to bring a team like UC into the Nutter Center every single season.

We definately need some team with name recognition in the Nutter. We should not shy away to play a road game with a bigger school even with no return game. It gets experience for the team in a hostile place. I would not mind at all to play another team like Indiana at the beginning of the year. Heck schedule a Louiseville game down there or even a Kentucky game at Lexington. We might get beat but it does not hurt the RPI that much with a loss at places like that.

We have played at least 1 game a year like this the last few years under Donlon and Brownell (Indiana, Miss St, Wake Forest). They are open to playing a BCS school team on the road without a return game if it gets us on TV and has a decent payout.

I don't think either one wants to get a win at the other's expense.

I keep checking the schedule board and I saw an interesting MTE listed. It consisted of 4 games: 1 at home vs Jackson St, and 3 on the road vs Ohio State, Florida, and N. Florida. It also includes a guaranteed paycheck for participating. It would be a nice chance to pick up a few wins and play a few BCS schools. The RPI's of the teams involved are: Jackson St (251), N. Florida (149), Florida (8), and Ohio State (2). Here is the ad: Looking for one team to fill a MTE next season. 4 games total, 3 on the road and one at home. Play at Florida and at North Florida on the same trip, play at Ohio State and have a home game with Jackson State. Good guarantee available.bti.sportshd.com/mens_schedule_board?tid_1=15&tid_2=1&university=Florida
