I like that we are focusing on bringing in JUCOs now. We have a really young team next year. We need to add more experience to the mix.

I like the way next year's team is shaping up and the way Coach Donlon has been able to balance out the classes better.

I just read this article about VCU raising it's student fees to give $733K more to basketball each year. They raised the fee by $50 for each student. I think WSU should consider a smaller fee for our students ($5-10) to add some revenue into our athletic department. I doubt our students would even notice a $5-10 increase in fees and that revenue could go a long way towards elevating our program to the next level. sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/basketball/ncaa/05/24/vcu.fees.ap/index.html?sct=cb_t2_a5

Summer quarter starts this coming Monday and I believe all incoming players will be starting classes so that they will be eligible for our trip to Italy this fall. We have the next 5 months to really take advantage of the weightroom and open gym. I hope they all make the most of it.

I'm looking forward to the new scoreboard, but I did think it was a bit sad watching the old one come down. The scoreboard was around for many great games at the Nutter Center.

Tweet from @bobgrant_WSU: "Made quiet progress on 2 more exciting projects, not final yet-we are very fortunate to have such strong support in our community."
Anyone care to speculate or provide details??

It's good to see the boys have been taking care of business this offseason.
