I hope I'm wrong but I anticipate a very small crowd. With the tickets being priced at $20 each for this game on a school night I think Mr. Grant is in for a very rude awakening.
On a more positive note I came into the season knowing it was going to be struggle most nights so I am enjoying watching the youngsters develop and grow. It must be maddening for Billy at times but we should be competitive in the next several years to come. Patience is the operative word this year.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a decent size crowd with the military tie in event and the fact that CSU usually brings in a pretty decent size crowd. There should be a lot of Dunbar fans there to see Pogue play.

We've had some good winter break student turnouts for CSU in the past. Not very optimistic after the UNC Charlotte game though...
As far as the game goes we just have to play hard defense for 35 seconds every time down the court and we will stay in it and give ourselves a chance. That's our best shot. This game has to be won on the defensive end.

Rock, the tickets to this game are only $10. There are only 4 games where the price is $20, those being Cincy, Butler, Ohio U, and Detroit. Don't ask me why CSU is only $10 and Detroit is $20. Makes no sense to me.

This might not be popular with the other posters on this board, but I think that we have to start Mpondo on Pogue Thursday if for no other reason than to bang and foul. We don't have anyone on the roster to match Pogue's 270 lbs., but Mpondo is the closest in weight, plus he is athletic enough to hopefully cause Pogue some problems when Pogue has his back to the basket. The outcome of this game is going to be all about how we matchup defensively, and in the post, I think Mpondo is the best option this time around. I don't expect him to contribute offensively, just compete defensively. CSU hasn't shown themselves to be a strong rebounding team so far, so hopefully we can compete on the boards with our 3 & 4 men.

What we should do is not focus on our weakness as much as CSUs weaknesses. Pogue is lazy on defense. He doesn't like to move his feet and he tends to pick up fouls against more athletic players than himself. I would love to see Sledge get the start with instructions to the team to go right at Pogue as many times as they can just to get him into foul trouble and on the bench.
