I did a little bit of research, for comparison sake...obviously everybody knows that we don't have any seniors, and, barring any early departures, should lose nobody next season...and that next year should be extremely promising in all aspects possible. I took a look around the league at players that teams are losing...and to what we have to look forward to not losing.
CSU: They get off pretty easy, they only have one senior Tim Kamczyc, he averages 9.8ppg, not a huge loss.
Detroit: Not so easy, They lose their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th scorers, respectively. Calliste 13.9, Minnerath 11.9, Anderson 11.1. A combined 37ppg to graduation.
Green Bay: Only loses Brennan Cougill, their #2 scorer at 11.5 ppg.
Loyola: Loses Ben Averkamp, their #1 scorer at 15.1 ppg, and Hicks averaging 5.9ppg. Loses 21ppg to graduating seniors.
Milwaukee: Probably the biggest hit of all the teams. They lose 5 seniors in Gulley, Haarsma, Haggerty, Harris, and Wolf...a combined 34.5ppg, nearly half of their current offensive production.
UIC: Another big hit here with their #1 scorer in Talton (13.1ppg), #2 Barnes (11.6ppg), #4 Crittle (10.1ppg), and Kelley, who scores nothing apparently. Not sure the story there. That's nearly a 35 ppg hit.
Valpo: Loses Bogan, Boggs, Brokeoff, Buggs, and Van Wijk...a combined 46ppg (currently average 79 ppg)...big hit there. Brokeoff and Van Wijk are there two bigs, combining for almost 30 of the 46.
YSU: Loses their #2 and #3 scorers (Allen and Eargle) 11.1 and 12.4 ppg respectively.
Whew. So as you can see. Each team is going to have to replace at least 10ppg next season. Obviously this is based on stats up to date as of today, which could change. Just a good feeler how we stack up next season.
I'm going to take some time to review what you wrote, but I just wanted to point out that things like the above post are reasons why I love this board. WSURaider09, awesome research and interesting stats. Nice job!!
