Eastern Illinois is a pretty small team so we should match up well and not get beat up on the boards too much.

Has anyone taken the time to check out the link Wolf provided for the EIU message board??--Wow, talk about a message board wasteland! Makes me thankful that we have the current, thriving chatterbox of a board that we do. Some posts on the EIU Front Page, which looks to be the only page, date back to 2004.

Unfortunately several HL schools have message boards that are pretty pathetic too. UIC and UWGB each only have about a dozen fans that make up their message boards.

Against Idaho we started: Pacher, Darling, Arceneaux, Vest, and Bramanti. Do we stick with the same starting 5 against Eastern Illinois? I hope not. I want coach to change our line up from game to game to reward those that produced well in the last game. IMO, Yoho earned a start this game. Bramanti should come off the bench.

Raider Up, that may sound like a fair thing to do but, what are some examples of teams that change their starting five from game-to-game? I could understand match-up problems but, I don't know if I'd think much of that approach ( convince me ). I think Idaho was a good win, why change things ( unless Kendall is ready to go, like he did in the 2nd half )?

I don't know that I agree with changing the starting five from game to game, but if Kendall is picking up where he left off last season and Yoho is the player he is supposed to be, than I could see either or both starting. But we know Dolan loves guards. If he could have a team of guards who could hit the net more often than not he'd be in Heaven. Maybe I would as well.
It looks like a good win at Idaho, but I think we'll really find out how good we are when we get to HL play. I'll also look forward to the stretch when we play BG, VMI, Hofstra, Miami, and UC. If we play 5 strong games I'll feel more confident about the season. The games before those 5 don't mean much IMO.

I think if you look at any team in a similar position as us, you will see their coaches use multiple starting 5s in ooc play until they find the right mix. 1/2 our roster is new. It would be asinine to stick with the same starting line up all year just because that is the line up we went with for game one. I don't think we will go with a new line up every game, but I bet we see multiple combinations of players throughout the ooc portion of our schedule.

That's okay, Cheerfan. I can't think of anyone specific ( that has gone an extended time of not repeating a starting line-up ), either. I was hoping someone could think of an example of 5 or 10 straight games without changing so, we could decide if it was the way to go. ( I think Kendall will start...I think Yoho will eventually start but, I think they are all possible starters ).
