The schedule is working in our favor for this game. We have the whole week to rest up, get healthy, and prepare for Valpo. Valpo has a game tomorrow at Milwaukee and a game Thursday at Detroit. Hopefully that Thursday game goes into 4 OTs.

This will be a tough match up. They may stack up pretty strong against us. I'm sure Milwaukee And Detroit will wear them down quite a bit.

It's interesting to watch how we matchup against teams with a good big dude (Averkamp of Loyola or Harris from UWM). I feel like that's why we did so well against Cleveland State...their lack of a presence inside really made our defense stronger. This is where Valpo will make things tough for us.
We can't ask for much more than a week to prepare along with Valpo having to play Detroit right before us. Let's see if we can steal one on the road!

Don't really expect to win (but certainly not throwing in the towel) but lets at least make them dread the return trip to Wright State. A win would certainly send some shock waves through the league.

I think this game is going to come down to can we make our outside shots. If we shot a good % from 3, I think we can beat them. If we cannot, I think they win. They have a big advantage with their interior players. I think we have the better guards. Next weekend cannot get here fast enough for me.

I agree that our ability to hit our open shots in rhythm, primarily threes will play a huge role in who wins. We also have guys with the ability to shut down Broekhoff and company. We can force someone else to step up if they want to win. I plan on going to this game and I cannot wait for Saturday!!

Like some others, I do not see us squeezing out a road W at Valparaiso. In fact, I expect us to go 1-3 over this coming four-game-swing, with our only win coming at home against UIC on the 26th. Hopefully I'm wrong. I still don't trust our spotty offense yet.

Loyola, a young defensive minded team beat valpo at valpo. I think if we can get a lead, our defense can hold them in check.

www.valpofanzone.com/forum/index.php?topic=1165.0Above is a link to Valpo's messageboard about the game. I like that on the 3rd post they have already come up with an excuse if they lose (tired legs) to a fraud like the Raiders. I've seen numerous Valpo games this year, and I believe we can beat them, even on their own floor if we play the game we are capable of playing on the defensive end. I think any team in this league can beat any other team in this league, no matter location. I'm looking forward to this game. I think we can control Broekhoff, our coaches usually have a good game plan for shutting down opposing teams best players. We will have to see if the rest of their team will step up and win the game for them. Hopefully we can hit our open shots and win this one on the road.

That's comedic relief. WSU is a fraud...yet we will have tired legs, and win by 12, but if we don't, then we will blame the legs. Predictions aside, we went into Loyola and won, and they did not. Seems like simple logic to me. Guess we will see how it goes on Friday. We could win by 20 if we hit our 3s, and we could lose by 20 if we get in foul trouble and don't hit our shots. I'd imagine we go in as 8-10 point dogs.

Big win against Loyola. I still really can't get myself to believe we overcame a 10 point deficit on the road. But here's a couple things that concerned me.
Miles Dixon had his second consecutive bad game. He just looked like he was forcing things and taking bad contested shots. I really thought he was going to be a good source of scoring for us. He can get to the rim well but has to realize when he doesn't have a good shot and needs to dish it off.
Pacher is by far the worst player on scholarship on this team. Healthy or not. We're gonna have some real trouble against big teams like Valpo if Sledge gets in foul trouble.
Reggie Arcenaux always seems to show up during big games. He got a lot of praise for his performance in the UC game and now 29 points on national television. Does anyone else think that maybe schools from bigger conferences will get word on him and take notice. Maybe try to get him to transfer like Mays did? It may be a stretch, but maybe not.
On a better note, I'm glad to see Kendall Griffin finally getting into the offensive production of things. He had 12 points vs. CSU and now 6 assists vs. Loyola. Maybe all he needed was to get healthy.

Agree with point one. Agree with point two. Disagree with point three. I think he is committed to WSU. I don't have any supporting evidence. Just purely speculative, I think he stays. Agree with point four.
