I see a couple things we had better do to win the game against GB.
Limit the 3 point attempts by their shooters. They are the worst free throwing shooting team in the conference at 69%. So if we have to hold an arm to stop the shot do it. No wide open looks aloud Friday.
We have to rebound better against the Phoenix to get put backs on the offensive glass. Plus stop their team from getting second chance shots.
Mr. Young stay out of foul trouble the best you can. We need your athleticism and speed.
Davis is so active out there that I think the ref can't help to blow the whistle to calm him down.
Pacher needs to go strong to the bucket. They have 8 blocked shots a game so lots of head fakes to get them in the air.
We settled for way too many desperation shots inspired by a shot clock that only 6 or 7 seconds left. Please get out of that type of game. We don't have the sharpshooters for that type of game this year. Probe the zone defense and attack it.

I've only watched GB once this year so I can't really speak with much authority for Alec Brown but AJ might have the best up and under move in the league. He's good at faking out big men down low. That'd be great for WSU if he can work the post effectively like that against the Phoenix

We've got to keep Garrett and Love covered on the perimeter primarily, although they have a few guys who shoot a great percentage from beyond the arc. Down low, I think AJ needs to lead the way in pounding it against Brown and company. He has fouled out three times this year so it's not out of the question. This game has the same importance as any other HL matchup (don't want to lose at home), and is a great chance to show the fans (hopefully a large number of them) that improvements have been made throughout the season.

I think this game comes down to tempo. If we play more uptempo like we did against Valpo, I like our chances. If we slow it down like we did against UIC, we lose. Green Bay is better than us in a battle of half court offenses. They shoot better than us and they have the better inside game.

I just watched the coaches show from Green Bay and in the interview they were talking about Friday's game. Coach Waddle said he wants to have a lot more possessions than the Raiders and he said he knows BD wants it to be a low possession game. He said he wants to move it up and down the court and outscore us. Coach says he has no interest in playing a slow down ball game. He said he knows the Nutter Center will be trying to do a sell out and he says he thinks his team plays better in front of a big crowd. So they have all the confidence in the world. Maybe this might be the game where we put a pressing defense out there and slow them down. We need to keep Sykes from getting the ball that is for sure.

I'd say the one thing we've got on our side is that we have only lost 1 home game to GB since the 04-05 season if I'm not mistaken.

I think on the coaches show you will not get their strategy for the upcoming game. The opposition can have people there or listening. I think his remarks were because he knows what BD coaches. Although that is not a secret. I will be disappointed if we have last second shots thrown up because the shot clock is expiring. I only want to see good shots set up by screens and designed plays. I do think I will be disappointed. Bd was reported as saying our defense won the game. To me in actuality the defense for the last 4+ minutes should not have been the deciding factor if we ran a good designed uptempo offense. Our defense will not win against GB. We will need to produce offensively. We play great defense, but I don't think scoring 58 points against GB will win the game. I hope they can prove me wrong. GO RAIDERS

J I don't know about this coach Waddle. Most coaches would hold back their game plan but I think he is to smug and cocky to hold back his game plan against us. I think the only thing that he didn't say was that he was going to do a full court press against us. I think he will do that. I watched a game or two of them and they do get up and down the court and want to push the ball. Sykes did not score 34 points shooting 3's. He complained about some officiating in his last game as well. I never hear of too many coaches do that out in an open forum. Our help defense is going to have to guard against Brown when he has his back to the basket. We need to throw bodies at Brown and frustrate him early and get him into foul trouble.

I believe our guys are the better all around team, but from the sounds of things, we are the dogs coming in. The guys need to adopt that mentality like they did last year and come together to pull out a win however they can. I think KG's defense will be huge to have in this game, as well as Matt's intelligence if indeed they are both cleared to play Friday. Can't wait for the Nut House to be rockin' again, and hope the team delivers the W.

We will be there and cheering for a victory. We do have the players to win this game. Especially if Cole can get his shots to drop instead of just coming out.
