I for one is very excited about Tuesday night. We will be there wearing green. I am bringing out my HL Conference and tournament shirt for this event. If we win will be there for selection Sunday. Hopefully will a close enough NCAA game for me to drive to it. I am ready to see 8000 rans in the Nutt House. Also, keep voting for Jerran.

I consider myself lucky that I got 3 hrs of sleep last night. I stayed up and watched the game again after Milwaukee won. I still couldn't believe what I just watched, I was just happy that we made it to the championship, I didn't think Milwaukee was going to pull that off. Tuesday night is going to be wild and it's not going to get here soon enough. Lets Go Raiders!

Think we need to get the buzz on campus. Hosting a team we beat at home, winner goes dancing. Such short notice.

Think we need to get the buzz on campus. Hosting a team we beat at home, winner goes dancing. Such short notice. Unbelieveable turn of events last night. I would not have been very optimistic if WSU was playing in Green Bay against the Phoenix on Tuesday. But, this is a winnable game...but. by no means, in the bag. I expect it to go down to the end on Tuesday night. It's amazing how well Milwaukee has played GB this season. They could have easily won all three games. Some teams just seem to match up well against certain opponents. This WSU team, if they win on Tuesday night, could finally win that first game in the Dance for WSU if they don't have to play against a huge front line like they did against Pitt in 2007. But, that of course, is something to worry about after Tuesday night if all goes well. This WSU team is an enjoyable team to watch. It appears to be all coming together nicely at season's end. GO RAIDERS!!

You are absolutely right Pauley. This game, even on our home court will be heavily contested. The biggest problem, of course, may be the fight for boards. I believe we out rebounded them by 2 or so when we hosted them in late January, while they out rebounded us by 2 at Milwaukee. As long as we can keep it close I feel good about our chances of winning. But, as always, they have considerable height. They have 8 guys 6'6" or taller.
Back in January they also had balanced scoring when they played here. Four guys were averaging double digits and a 5th player was at 8.7 points.
So let's all crossed our fingers, do our dances, chants, whatever. It's going to be a ballgame. All we can do is cheer for our team, the team itself has to bring their best game in order to win.
GO RAIDERS!!!

Very disappointed at campus this morning. Not one sign or printed material to be seen talking about the biggest game since 2007. I remember in 07 when Jeff Baltes and I littered the tunnels with signs, flyers, crepe paper etc. We can't let they're be more UWM students than WSU students on our court.

Sneaking through the tunnels in teams in the middle of the night and hanging up our own printed signs was no small operation. That night more or less marked the beginning of the Raider Rowdies as a student-run organization. Those four days from the time we clinched to the morning after the game are some of my happiest memories. ...I may have just outed my true identity. Whatever. Go Raiders! Beat Butl- uh, I mean Milwaukee!

I did see a couple of posters up as I was leaving campus. Seems like we missed an opportunity to engage the spirit squad or coaching staff in main areas to raise awareness. Nobody was outside talking about it, the Hanger had no mention of it either. If i didn't have to work all night tonight, I would be on campus raising awareness...Nobody is following our lead gerb =]

I don't know if it was the posters or not but I have had a few people ask me about getting tickets for this game and where to go

I know this is a far cry from probably ever happening again. But I remember in the 06-07 campaigns, the pep band was in the Hangar, and Brownell came down and personally handed out tickets to games. I know the ticket thing is probably beyond reach...but get Rowdy and some of the jazz or cheer girls around campus and hype this up. It stinks that this perfect storm falling in to place caught us all of guard and we couldn't plan these things out ahead of time.

There are 3 logical places for leadership to be exhibited in such cases. One, the word should flow down from the President to his subordinates to encourage a strong turn out. Most of the burden would fall to Student Services and, for one, Bob Grant. For example, have the coaches urge their respective teams to turn out and bring fellow students.
Second, there is the spontaneous actions from the grass roots, especially the students themselves.
And the final sector to be heard from is the Alumni Association. I don't think I've heard anything all year in regards to the team or for tomorrow's game.
My impression is...silence. Maybe the wheels are turning and by tomorrow night we'll be revved up. Is it spring break?
In any case, I'd hope we'd get at least 6000 tomorrow night. More would be wonderful.
