We're done. ND slams a 3 run homer than ends up in the middle of the street behind Illini field.
WSU will play tomorrow morning against the loser of Illinois/Ohio.

What was once a ball game is now an embarrassment. ND leads 13-6, and is still batting in the bottom of the 8th.

In 3 of the 4 innings WSU scored in, Notre Dame came back in the home half to score runs. The WSU bullpen couldn't get outs, and Notre Dame bats got hotter as the game went on.
WSU pitching was just horrendous in this game.
Mamer 3.0 IP, 6 hits, 4 earned runs. ERA of 12.00 Trapino 2.0 IP, 1 hit, 0 runs ERA 0.00 Swaney 1.1 IP, 4 hits, 3 earned runs ERA 20.25 Blair 1.2 IP, 5 hits, 6 earned runs ERA 32.40
Simply not going to win games against national powerhouses like Notre Dame pitching like that.
Notre Dame batting: 5 doubles, 4 HRs, 16 hits, 13 runs. Second most runs the Raiders have given up on the season.

Rather than saying anything against the home plate umpire, wish there was a K Zone to show me where some of those pitches stacked up ( offensively and defensively ). Congratulations to Notre Dame...I'll be watching the Raiders again tomorrow afternoon.

I'll agree with you there tommygun, but there wasn't anything that appeared to be to be unfair...strike zone was wide all day.

Illinois is trashing OU. Looks like we will get them tomorrow at 1p. We would be the home team. I would guess Scholtens will pitch, but that's pure speculation.

Apparently the top team on the bracket is the home team, not the higher seed, so OU is the home team. We are wearing out slick gold jerseys on grey pants look real snazzy.
Also, we have something cooking in the first inning with a runner at third and only one out.
I'd like to remind you all, we haven't lost to an OOC Ohio team all season =]

We fail to score in the first inning, as Timm pops up on a 2-0 pitch to the 3rd baseman, and Mitch Roman lines out to short. All while our leadoff hitter is camped out at 3rd base. Could have brought an anchor with him.

OU strikes first after a misplay in center by Fowler that allowed a double, and a gap shot by the next hitter gives OU an early 1-0 lead

Fucci just tied the game with a monster shot to straight away center. 2-2, nobody out still. 15 HRs on the season for Fucci

WSU has retaken the lead with some small ball 3-2 in the 2nd, and still batting. Runner at 3rd, 2 out for Fowler.

Fowler hits a no doubter over left center field, WSU now leads 5-2 in the 2nd. Fowler chases the OU starter, pitching change, WSU still batting.

We are in a rain delay in Champaign. Not sure why, field is turf, no lightning.
