Dan Hipsher is out at the University of Texas - Rio Grande Valley (formally UT - Pan American). He was 27-66 in 3 years (8-22 this season.) Hipsher has also been the head coach at Akron, Stetson, and Wittenberg, and served as an assistant at Arkansas, South Florida, and Dayton.

Ed Conroy is out at Tulane. He was 92-103 in 6 years.

Matt Brady is out at James Madison. Brady guided the Dukes to a 139-127 (68-74 in the CAA) in 8 seasons.

I guess we were but the Panthers have followed our lead. Sometimes it is because a change could be helpful. I hope Rob finds another place to coach also.

Really interesting move there. TCU's basketball program is peanuts compared to Pitt. Dixon is the only guy on the planet they could get from another p5 conference. But I like seeing coaches return to coach at their alma maters. Good for him. Wonder if he can bring that team out of the shadows of the Big "12"

Jamie Dixon played at TCU. That is the biggest draw. They have a fairly new facility. And just getting to the tournament there is good enough. I think his time at Pitt had expired.
