It appears that Coach Nagy is bringing some of his staff with him as assistants and one staff member as Director of Basketball Operations. I'm not sure how this works but my impression is that the strength coach and the athletic trainers are multi-sport employees and should not be affected by the coaching change. Does that sound right?
Also, looking toward next year's schedule, does anyone know which, if any, games we are committed to as far as finishing existing contracts? It will be interesting to see what a coach from a distant region will be able to do in getting some attractive teams into the Nutter Center. Coaching isn't that big of a world and with Coach Nagy's success and visibility he most likely has friends scattered around the midwest and east coast that he can approach for home and aways.

Coach Nagy is going to put together his own basketball staff. Nothing should change with our athletic trainers or strength and conditioning staffs. Also, looking toward next year's schedule, does anyone know which, if any, games we are committed to as far as finishing existing contracts? I think we have return games at Murray State, Georgia State, Bowling Green, and a home game with Miami already scheduled for next year as part of previous contracts. I don't know if Donlon scheduled any other games before he left. In regards to Nagy, my guess is that he puts together a fairly weak schedule next year. We don't have a great team returning next year so I don't think he is going to play a killer schedule until he puts together a roster of his players.

Coach Nagy's top 2 priorities need to be putting together his staff and recruiting. One of his assistants, Joe Krabbenhoft, was leaving to take an assistant coaching job at Wisconsin. Rob Klinkefus is currently staying at SDSU as intern coach hoping to be named their next coach. He might follow Coach Nagy to Wright State if that doesn't work out for him. I believe Brian Cooley will be following Coach Nagy to Wright State. He has 10 years coaching experience and was Coach Nagy's recruiting coordinator. If he is the only assistant to come to Wright State it wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. It allows Coach Nagy to hire 2 assistants with more midwest recruiting connections. Either way I think he will be able to hire an experienced coaching staff. In regards to recruiting, Coach Nagy needs to figure out who is coming back and who is transferring first. I hope he is able to get Stephen Davis to reconsider transferring. Then he needs to hit the recruiting trail hard and try to fill out our roster with his type of players.

According to SDSU's message board, Clint Sargent is also following Coach Nagy to Wright State. SDSU already removed all of their profiles from their website, but their 2014/15 profiles can still be found. Here is the link: www.gojacks.com/coaches.aspx?roster=31&path=mbball

0% chance. Billy was his boy. Why reward Grant for firing Billy?

Big D may very well be right about not playing a killer schedule the first year of his tenure here but I'm not sure it's the best course. I think the fans would rather see a challenging schedule and have us take our lumps than see a bunch of cupcake games that don't really build for the future. If we're going to start building for the future my opinion is that now is the time to re-attract the fans that slipped away over the last few years and the best way to do that is to offer the most exciting games that you can offer. On the other hand, looking at the conference schedule, I think we may be okay. Maybe not in the top three but not much lower than that.
