Thanks for breaking that down! I can't believe alstork is leading the nation in free throws made.

Teams have to stop him from scoring and they are playing not so nice when they try to stop him.

I love that Mark isn't "settling" for 3 pointers but is being aggressive and going to the basket which is also getting him to the line!
Also love that as a team we are shooting 40.7 from the perimeter and 74.7 from the Free Throw line!

Alstork will start scoring again soon because other teams will have to guard Benzinger and LaTulip and Davis. We have lots of weapons to score but I'm still not sure our defense is good enough yet. Would help if the refs would call a foul when their is a foul. Not impressed with the stripes the last game.

Here is the link to the overall stats for the team through the first 7 games. www.wsuraiders.com/fls/27000/legacy/m-baskbl/1617Stats/Overall.pdfSeveral stats stand out to me. First, look at Free Throws. The Raiders have made more FT's than their opponents have attempted, and they are shooting 75.4% from the line. The average FT's made per game is 22.7. That's where these games to date have been won. Second, they are actually out rebounding their opponents, albiet by a small margin, but that's a far cry from what we were accustomed to in prior years. Included in the rebounding stats is the fact that they are out rebounding their opponents on the offensive glass. And finally, they are shooting 42% from the 3 point line. They are a little loose with the ball sometimes, making some unforced turnovers, but other than that, I'm really impressed with they way they are playing. I hope they can keep this up during their upcoming December road trip.

These stats are great. The one I am happiest with is team effort. When the opposition focus on Alstork other people step up. We have some scorers on this team. They were here before but now Coach Nagy is utilizing the team strength and working on strength Inc weakness as the season moves forward. This effort will bring back fans but needs to continue. Some good wins on the road in December will help bring back fans in January. Go Raiders

bbj, that free throw stat used to be the opposite. the difference i think is coach Nagy has them slashing and penetrating to be he rim instead of settling for threes.

Interesting that we virtually have no inside game but we get a ton of FT's because we have 3 players that will aggressively attack the rim in AlStork, Mitchell, and Davis. Heck even Grant is taking the ball inside every now an then.
