I really believe Cole was the missing piece to this team. He is a true point guard and I feel like he thrives on pressure.
Consider the following:
- We are 8-1 since he joined the team.
- He is shooting 47 percent from 3 ( 14-30 )
- He has a 2 to 1 assist to turnover ratio
- He is an excellent FT shooter at 78 percent (7-9)
- He is averaging 8.3 ppg but is over 11 ppg as a starter
- He seems to show real toughness on the court

Stats aside, he's the true PG this team needed. Hughes wants to be a shooter. Wilburn is a walk-on... This team was missing a true PG at the beginning of the season, and Cole is exactly what our offense needed. We've got a true big man, a true distributor, and we've got two shooting guards who can light it up from 3. It's a complete team, no doubt. We have to keep Love on the floor and Parker needs to step up when he's called on to be the 5, and this team will really be special.

Cole is basketball smart and has a lot of natural talent. He did get yelled at last night in the last minute when he didn't help out on an inbounds play and we got a ten second violation. Rather than hide on the other side of the court he came right over to the bench and took his licks.

Before the Toledo game he had sat out a year and only had one semester of D1 competition under belt. He has the teardrop and the running one hander that he doesn't quite have his touch on yet. When these start dropping watch out. My only concern is the defensive end. He works his tail off on defense but he can be a match up problem like yesterday. This is why I hope the J Mitch thing is only a blip.

Yeah, I love him. The influx of new players (Gentry, Love, Hall, Winchester) has been nothing short of excellent this season, with Gentry & Love leading the charge.

He's great. Everyone seems to be in more natural positions with Cole running the show. With the PG position likely in good hands for the rest of this year, and the next two, everyone else can come in and play to their strengths.
We seem to have some solid recruits coming in as well.
The future seems bright with a core of Cole, Love, Hall, and Winchester.

He appears to be basketball smart and tough minded. When you combine his skills with his smarts you have a nice player on your hands.

After Cole's 5-5 from the perimeter tonight he is now shooting at a 54% clip from the three's on 19-35. This young man has brought sooooo much to this team! Between Grant and Cole you have so much energy on the court!

I think the true value of Cole is he sets up his teammates to play to their potential. I like that he can drive and make those shots and is shooting lights out from 3 but his true value is his ability to run our offense.

He made a few bad decisions at Milwaukee and seemed to be forcing shots (ala Alstork, Mitchell at times) instead of allowing the offense to run its course throughout the possessions. Granted he was without Lou much of the game and Grant had a rough shooting night. Also, he needs to be aware of where the daggone baseline is and stop stepping on it! Lol. All of that being said, this is a much more functional team with him running the show.
