I know it may be a bit premature, but that's exactly why I'm asking: Just for fun, go ahead, place your bets now. Do you think our Raiders will be playing in March Madness this year?
-Currently 15-5
-7-0 in conference play, best start in conference play in school history
-Only 7 guys deep, but as Big D stated in another thread, our last NCAA Tournament team also went 7 deep.
What do you think?

What do you think? The only way the Raiders make the NCAA is by winning the HL tournament. The only way the Raiders make the NIT is by winning the HL Regular season. The CIT and CBI are play-to-play tournaments. Almost any team can play in those, if they want, if they have a booster that wants to shell out $$$.

Just take it a game at a time. If the outside shot ain’t falling we keep pounding the ball inside. When the inside and outside game is clicking we are pretty darn good. This team might find it hard to schedule good teams to play for a couple years.

Give Nagy a raise if he coaches us into the NCAA in only his second year. Gosh I hope we can keep this guy for awhile.

I think we make it this year, but finish second in the league to NKU regular season

Unless he has a dream job out there, I think we have someone that isn't looking at WSU as a stepping stone.

We might be concerned after we have three successful seasons with post season tournaments. If he leaves I’m sure our roster will be in good shape with good players.

The only feasible way that NKU will beat us in the regular season is to win on our home court. That's a Friday night 7pm game. The arena will be rocking, and you should expect 8000+ people for that game. By sweeping NKU, then we will have to lose 3 (possibly more) other games in league play to not win ...I don't see this team losing 3 league games to teams not named NKU.
I'd rather just beat NKU in our place and own the league instead of worrying about every possible tie-breaking scenario down the stretch.

Talk to me after NKU comes to town. Coach Nagy and coach Brown have both said numerous times that they think we are playing better on the road so I see both the Oakland and NKU HOME games as real possibilities as losses unless we start playing better at home. I am hopeful that the Athletic Dept has some serious promotions/T-shirt give aways for both those games because we'll need to play better at home in order to beat NKU and Oakland. Let first take care of UWM!

Compared to the players AT THAT POINT IN THEIR CAREERS the last time we made the tourney, here's my eyeball analysis.
Sr. Wood > So. Gentry Fr. Duggins < Sr. Benzinger Fr. Brown < Jr. Hughes Sr. Burleson > Jr. Ernsthausen Jr. Pleiman < Fr. Lou So. Wilson = Fr Winchester So. Graham < Fr. Hall

Winchester and Scottie Wilson have a similar frame from what I recall. Winchester already looks great off the bounce - I haven't really seen him shoot the 3 much but if he can end up stroking it like Scottie Wilson did - look out!
