Just keeping a door open for conversation on the field of 68/NIT/other conference tourneys beyond scores of interest. We're all fans here.
The field is starting to fill out...
Loyola took the MVC (in front of a half full neutral site crowd).
Radford just won the Big South on a buzzer beater on their home floor.
FGCU is getting absolutely crushed at home in the ASUN championship game, but their crowd is still totally into it. They were down 32 at one point, but just got to wothin 18. The Lipscomb team is getting called for techs and making stupid turnovers. This feels a lot like the Bartman game.
So who (besides WSU, of course) is everyone liking? Who's your pick to win it all? Who's your sleeper?

On a local note, UC and Xavier look like contenders to do well. The UC-Witchita State game earlier today was a thriller with UC winning the AAC regular season title.

That door isn't open...It's closed and locked with bouncers nearby. The field of 68 is set. The committee will just "seed" the tourney champs and select the rest from the Power-5. Look at who's on the bubble by the experts...I don't believe there is one program not from a power conference (Sans Gonzaga) that can win its way in (Via Resume) without a conference tournament title.
Same for the NIT (owned by the NCAA).
Other tourney's....?? Didn't like them...never have. They are pay to play. Many institutions like WSU are having a difficult time with finances....or at least explaining their rationale of finances to their respective communities. Pay-for-play has run its course, IMHO. Isn't the Vegas 16....oops...Vegas 8 down to Vegas 0 this year??

For those who complain about the HL refs, check the last five minutes of the FGCU-Lipscomb game that just ended. A lot of money can change hands Tim Donaghy style in a low/mid-major conference tourney. Ours can at least claim incompetence. This was something else.
