This is a game I’m a little worried about. UIC for some reason tends to be one of those teams we struggle with and Blount has been Lou’s kryptonite the last 2 years. Really hope we come out focused and play a full 40 minutes of basketball tomorrow.

If Lou can rebound, screen and play defense well and the rest are shooting good there will be no problem. Lou needs to kick it out to the open man often. Like how we have moved the ball around lately. I think we will be fine.

This game has some interesting possibilities. Love has best support group he has had. This is not a single player team. We have 4 players averaging in double figures and others that could be with additional PT. Look what happened with some players when Love was out with injury. Love is a different player this year. We could win like Detroit or Green Bay or like Oakland or IUPUI. If we have a big lead at half time would like to see to start second half with Jaylon or Tanner with the other four non starters. When we bring out the starters they play very flat and ineffective.

UIC had a 12 minute drought yesterday against NKU. The Norse had a 30 to 0 run. That isn't a team that's incredibly efficient on defense, but the Flames had real trouble knocking down shots outside the paint.
This is another team that doesn't have the team to hang with us on an average v Raider shooting night. However, and Nagy said it best last night, our FT shooting had to get better or it may nip us in a tight game. While I'd love to be up 20 points in the first half and put it on cruise every game, we're going to continue to get everyone's best shot, and eventually we'll be in another dogfight against a lower team like we were up at Calihan.
We can't afford to have a bad night of shooting here at UIC. They have the athletes to make it a game if we don't execute our plan or go stale offensively. But even an average offensive output should be enough tomorrow night given how improved our defense has grown through the season.

It’d be nice to avenge last year’s season sweep by UIC and close out this road swing without a loss. I trust the team will be well prepared and ready to get it done.
Go Raiders

If Wampler is "on" it will be a long day for UIC. In the Green Bay and IUPUI routs, he was fire. Against Detroit he was cold as ice, and it nearly cost them a W. And as with most HL opponents, UIC has no one who can match up with Louden down low. I expect a Raider win but as always, winning on the road is a challenge.

UIC swept us last year and Jordan Blount more than matched up with Lou. He held Lou to 9 points in game 1 before Lou fouled out. In game 2, he held Lou to 13 points where Lou was 5-20 from the field.

I'd argue its a much different Lou. Furthermore, Lou remembers. That said, I wouldn't want to be Blount.
