We have lost 4 of our last 5 nationally televised games. 1/28/22 vs CSU ESPNU L 67-71 1/29/21 vs RMU ESPNU W 79-70 1/15/21 vs CSU ESPNU L 64-66 1/8/21 vs YSU ESPN2 L 72-74 3/9/20(HL) UIC ESPNU L 73-56 NKU last year? I think we beat them in 2020 to clinch HL regular and also last year.

Soft and stubborn don't go well together.
Never playing a zone defense is ridiculous...especially when you insist/must on playing your starters marathon minutes...not to mention when the other team's primary offensive strategy is to blow by and bully the one-on-one defender.
It's unpopular to say on here...but there is no way Manns would have done any worse than anyone else who saw the court last night. I don't care if he's 1-50 this year from 333. He's a pure shooter and we were chocked to death by the zone...again.
Our guys are wearing-out and we are only two days from February. We are giving the textbook definition of insanity night after night.

Correct. I forgot the caveat of "conference games" which was fully intended. And the ACC Network Extra isn't a national broadcast, I was only able to stream that using my ESPN+ subscription; it wasn't on the main ACC network channel, at least not in my area. Purdue being the other you're referring to (Big10). It was on the ACC network in this area.

This is the same BS Donlon pulled with Mortensen and, to a lesser extent, Jerran Young and Steven Davis early in his career here. Only because the conference is so bad will WSU actually have a 500 or better record. Put this roster in the HL even 10 or seven years ago and they are way below 500.

From what I saw last night the difference was defensive and offensive quickness. CSU much quicker with their hands and much quicker overall on defense. Raiders much slower of foot on offense and no quickness on defense. Trey Calvin - our quickest player had a good night and has had good nights against zones, our other players generally slower.
