My Additional Game Wishlist (I hope that we can play any of the following teams):
Xavier Dayton Ohio Ball State Indiana State Akron Kent State Pre/mid season tourney???
BB will establish strong recruiting ties in OH & IN and I hope he will start to schedule teams around each state. I assume that UD is unrealistic, but this is just a wishlist. I think a series with XU would generate plenty of fan interest. Lastly, "Attack the MAC" -- Start beating other MAC teams across the state to draw more recruiting interest state-wide.
QUESTION: WHICH TEAMS WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE WSU PLAY???

You can probably also assume we will be playing a Bracket buster game on the road.
I also wouldn't be surprised to see us play Evansville next year.

Wow! We already have a very attractive non conference schedule with Miami (MAC), Marshall (C-USA), Bradley (MVC), St. Bonnie (A-10), and Coastal Carolina.
I would add to the wish list:
Evansville (MVC) S. Illinois (MVC) Ill State (MVC) Ok.........any MVC school
George Mason (CAA) UNCW (CAA) Old Dominion (CAA)
Western Kentucky (Sun Belt)
I think ALL the stronger mid major conferences should play each other and NOT, I REPEAT, NOT take road games only with the bigger conferences.

UNCW & George Mason would be fun games. SIU is also intriguing.

I think ALL the stronger mid major conferences should play each other and NOT, I REPEAT, NOT take road games only with the bigger conferences. I agree whole heartedly. I like the idea of playing in an exempt tournament each year, but the rest of our games should be against teams that will play us home and away. I would love to see us schedule more MVC, MAC, and Colonial Athletic teams. I also wouldn't mind us scheduling a few teams in Texas over the next few years. Texas is a great state for basketball talent and exposure there can't hurt recruiting. Cooper Land would also get a chance to play near where his family could go see a game.

We really only have 2 games to play with - IUPFW and the LSU Tourney. I look to see us try to schedule another game out west to pair up with Fullerton or an exempt tourney out there. I think Brownell is smart enough to get in an exempt tourney in any event if it will improve our RPI. If that doesn't work I look for some road games to balance the many more home games we have next year. A long roadtrip in December out west will give our team a chance to gel and toughen up for league play. We are going to have a whole bunch of new faces next year.

Here are some more teams I'd like to start a home and away series with.
Toledo - MAC
VCU - CAA
Air Force - Mt. West - currently 20-4. With the Air Force base so close this really is a game that should be played.
Holy Cross - Patriot - 18-6
Winthrop - Big South - 19-4. They are always in the top 150 in the rpi.
On our trip to Cal Fullerton here are some teams that might be willing to do a home and away series.
Long Beach State - Big West 15-6
UC Santa Barbara - Big West 13-6

I would like us to play more of our old rivals. Xavier would be a great team to schedule. I would also like to see Wright State schedule Central State or Northern Kentucky as our exhibition game. There are many oldtimers that would come out to see some of the teams from our D2 days in an exhibition game.

Back on top: Since the season is over, any teams with surprising finishes that you would like to see play WSU?

I'd like to see Ohio U. They are regional and have their core players coming back. I'd think with Tillman on the team they might be interested in bringing Jerome back to play in front of his family and friends.
To me one of the most logical choices is Air Force. From and rpi stand point they would be terrific plus with the air force base right here you'd think Air Force would have a nice contingent of fans on hand.
I think Akron loses most of it's starters so they might not be ideal over the next 2 yrs.
I'd sure like to see BB use his CAA contact to schedule some games against those schools. VCU or Old Domion would be awesome!
