Brown Named Horizon League Player of the Week Dec. 31, 2007 After being named the Dr Pepper Classic Most Outstanding Player Sunday, sophomore guard Todd Brown has been honored as the Horizon League Player of the Week, league officials announced Monday. Brown, a native of Canton, Ohio, averaged 23.5 points in his two games in Chattanooga, including 26 points in a 78-74 overtime win against Belmont Saturday night. He added 21 points against host Chattanooga Sunday as WSU won 87-82. He shot 55% (16-29) from the field while hitting five threes for the weekend. Brown also was 10 of 16 from the line while posting seven assists and three steals. Brown joined Vaughn Duggins and Scottie Wilson on the all-tournament team. Wright State, winners of the five straight, is now 8-3 overall and 1-1 in the Horizon League and will play at Milwaukee Thursday night. wsuraiders.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/123107aaa.html

Brown Named SAAC Student-Athlete of the Month Jan. 10, 2008 Todd Brown, a sophomore guard on the men's basketball team, has been named the Wright State Student-Athlete Advisory Council's Athlete of the Month for Decembber, it was announced at their monthly meeting Thursday morning. Brown averaged 13.4 points per game for the Raiders over nine December games, including a career-high 26 along with six assists in an overtime win over Belmont at the Dr Pepper Classic in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He then followed that up with 21 against the host Mocs in the championship game, received tournament MVP honors. Brown also hit six of eight shots, including four of five from three-point range, in scoring 16 at Cal State Fullerton and had 12 against both Marist and Valparaiso. Named the Horizon League Player of the Week on December 31, Brown appears in the latest League overall rankings in scoring (4th, 16.1), rebounding (19th, 4.7), three-point field goal percentage (T9th, .441), three-pointers made per game (7th, 2.31) and minutes (34.8).
