Try and keep the similar schedule to this year. Mid-majors in conferences with RPI's near ours (CAA, MVC, Conference USA, MAAC, A10). One buy game if we can get it. I like the thought of a inseason tourny early. That way Todd plays good right out of the box lol.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see Canisius on the schedule either next year or the year after. Robert Goldsberry from Tipp City plays for them and Brownell has ties to the family since the one Goldsberry kid played for him at UNCW.

I don't expect to see Canisius on the schedule anytime soon unless it is a buy game without a return visit. We aren't going to schedule a home/home with a team with an RPI over 200 that we have to go to New York to make the return trip to. You schedule these types of games so a WSU player can play a game in front of their hometown, not to help out a kid that turned WSU down.

tonight at the radio show the coach mentioned an exempt tournament that is early next season held by university of washington. if i understood him correctly we are in some discussions about that. i do not know if we are also looking for a home and home in addition to the tournment, but bb's point seemed to be that there is little left to do on the schedule for next year. i meant to ask him after the show if, assuming all we hear is true, do we have any scholarships left for next year but i did not get around to it. he did say the jdg has a possible diagnosis for his hip problem that may well be fixable, but will require 6 months...yes 6 months of rehab. really tough way to go for jdg. GO RAIDERS!!!!!11

The AIA tournament would be a decent tournament to get into. Washington is 20-7 with an RPI of 19. Belmont is 17-10 with an RPI of 115. Portland State is 16-9 with an RPI of 137.

If we get into the Athletes in Action Classic, our schedule is shaping up like this:
Washington 19 Miami 74 Northeastern 82 Arkansas-Little Rock 92 Belmont 115 Portland State 137 Sam Houston State 143 Central Michigan 282 Toledo 314 BCS buy game new home/home series 2009 Bracket Busters game
It's a decent schedule but right now it isn't good enough for an at large bid. Our buy game needs to be a highly rated BCS team. Our last home/home series needs to be against a high rated mid-major or better and we need to land one of the better Bracket Buster games if we want to have any chance at an at large bid.

That website needs a bit of updating. Bob's link says we are in it. Big D's link says they are still looking for a 4th team and their main board where teams list what they are looking for says we are still looking for a MTE. Not the most organized site, but it's good to hear that we got in the tournament. Too bad it's on the west coast. Games will probably be after midnight because of the time zone difference.

9 top 100 opponents including UWGB, CSU, Butler, and assuming that we play a top 100 team in the Bracketbuster. Can't wait to find out who the BCS team will be. Thanks for the info.
