We were only 4-11 from the line. Zach Williams was 0-4! I'm bumming out. We should have won this game. That technical in the first half was deadly.
Put me on record as saying that Jordan Plieman should be playing a minimum of 25 minutes and Zach W. should not play more than 28 minutes. At this point in the season Jordan is more effective than Zach. Zach is important to the team but if someone is playing better at the center position they should get more minutes.
Nice to see Jaron look for his shot.
Both team came into the game almost identical fromt he FT line at 68-69% but G-B goes 16-20 while we go 4-11.
Nice come back but I'm dissappointed.

Turnovers hurt us just as much as the free throws. We had something like 10 turnovers in the first half that resulted in 12 points for UWGB. I don't know how many we had in the second half.

You are correct Big D. If memory serves me right we had 12 TO in the first half and 4 in the second half (not counting OT).
Supposedly as a team we are shooting 68% from the FT line but I can't believe it was that high coming into the game. Our FT shooting will cost us some more games this year.

Looking at the box score, we had 18 turnovers to GB's 11, and GB was 17-22 from the FT line and we were 4-11. . Looks like we lost the game because of those two stats. Also, Williams led the team in turnovers with 6.

BBJ,
I agree with your assesment. I didn't realize Zach Williams had a 1/3 of our turnovers!
Now I want to talk about Zach Williams. I don't want to point fingers at him and I want to make it perfectly clear that I think Zach is a major asset to this team and we ARE A BETTER team with him on it BUT I also think at times we are more effective with Jordan Plieman in the game. Should Jordan replace Zach in the starting lineup? In my opinion NO but I do think Jordan needs more minutes. I really like it when both Zach and Jordan are in the game at the same time. Honestly, I think Jordan is a better offensive player and a better rebounder. I do think Zach is a better "overall" defender and definitely brings a ton of leadership to a very young team. At times coach Biancardi has had Drew at the three with Jordan and Zach at the four and five positions. I like this lineup against some of the bigger and more physical teams.
Go Raiders!!
