Wow, we win 63-57! That was awesome baby! There are so many things to love about today's game I don't know where to start. We totally controlled the last 13 minutes of the game. I think they never got closer than 6 or 8 points the last 13 minutes or so.
The good:
- We outrebounded them by 33-21 for a + differential of 12. Remember that UDM outrebounds it opponents by 5.5 rpg. They outrebounded Cincinnati by 14 this year.
- We are now 3-1 in the HL. We should be 4-0. If we make even 50% of our FT at G-B we are undefeated in the HL. Take into account that G-B won @ Butler to day it shows how good G-B is and we should have beat them @ G-B
- We just beat a team in Detroit that last Monday won @ UWM by 10. Remember that UWM is the favorite to win the HL.
- Zakee's scoring spree, 3 3's in a row, to open the 2nd half was assume and gave a cushion the Titan's couldn't over come.
- We had 10 offensive rebs.
- I loved Dashaun's stat line of 12 pts, 7rebs, 3 asst. Good, solid all around game.
- Three games in a row now that we've had a different player lead us in scoring. I think they call that a balanced team.
- I'd have to pick Zakee as my POTG because he sparked our 2nd half run. Dashaun finishes a close 2nd.
The bad:
17 Turnovers.
I'm still pumped!

How about holding Cotton to 13 points?
Jaron and Zakee did a great defensive job on him.

Guys played great today! That was big, even though it was at home. What about the coaching staff and the adjustments they made at halftime?? And the guys executed. Very proud of these guys today.

A couple of things jump out to me after looking at the box scores.
- Jordan had 7 rebs in only 14 minutes of play. He tied Dashaun for club lead. I am convinced that Jordan will be a force on the board his last 3 years here.
- The balanced scoring. We had 4 players in double figures.
- We had 4 players play 32 or more minutes. Personally I would like to see Jordan & Jaron playing more minutes to help take the load off of the starters. Seriously, Jordan should be playing a minimum of 25 a game.
- We only shot 64% on our FT but it if we shoot that against Miami & G-B we win both of those games. 64% is not a good percentage but it sure bets what we have been shooting.
